Modera Berkeley Heights — Attraction in Berkeley Heights

If I could give this place less than one star I would. I was given very false information about their policies when I moved in and now they are withholding my security deposit for their lack of knowledge. I spoke with the regional manager and she even admitted that the staff was not well trained and apologized but said there was nothing she would do to repair this. I asked specific questions when I moved in knowing I may need to use the curveball guarantee and I was lied to to get me to sign a contract so they could fill their at the time very empty building.

The people that work in the office have zero idea what is going on if they even show up to unlock the office and the manager is rude and abrasive. Even half of the staff has quite in the short time this building has been open because of how bad it is.

Good luck and hope that they show up to take your trash because majority of the days the trash sits in the halfway and they never come to get it and smells. More than 7 of my packages have been lost while I lived here and the delivery service is no help. My key fob did not even work when I moved in. My heat has to be run at 76 to ensure it is not pushing out cold air and you can HEAR EVERYTHING the walls are so thin the leasing office does nothing. Cops are here all the time because of the people that live in the building....

IF YOURE CONSIDERING MOVING HERE ... JUST DONT!

Modera Berkley Heights is brand new, well kept, and very safe complex. The on-site maintenance, landscaping, and cleaning crew is outstanding. The onsite maintenance staff is excellent. I never had any maintenance issues, only needed a battery changed in my fire alarm, but if you ever need maintenance Brunell or Miguel are both always onsite and available to assist.

Regarding safety- the parking garage requires a garage tag to access (always felt safe going to my car) and entry door and elevator access is limited to key fobs which gave me piece of mind when leaving early in the morning returning to my apartment at night.

Finally Alexandra and the leasing office staff are fantastic, they are always ready to assist with anything you'd need. It's amazing to have a leasing team that is dependable and quick to respond. I didn't experience any issues during my residency but they provided me with outstanding assistance with my move in and move out.

Modera Berkeley Heights is the best place to live! I I'm grateful I had the opportunity to live here for the last year and a half. This is the best apartment complex I have found in a 30min radius of my workplace and cannot recommend this...

The team is really nice. Nikki assisted with touring and leasing. She's proficient and always ready to help. Also maintenance is high level. Brunel promptly resolved any issues when I moved in. Thanks to those people my move in went much smoother. The management company itself seems to be a nightmare. It seemed that I have to fill out endless forms when I was applying including even detailed info about my cat. They requested access to some information from my bank instead of asking for pay stubs as the most companies do. And their web site doesn't function properly from smartphone (in 2023!). I understand that the apartment is brand new but it also brings a lot of rules and a few additional services for which I have to pay each month. All those information which you have to learn on move in is just overwhelming especially when you're overloaded at work. I've changed a couple of apartments in California and never seen it before. Especially its annoying that I received additional spam from partners. So I've put that much stars only because the team is really nice and hard working and they make it feasible to move in...
