During 2021, I sold my second car since I likely would be working from home for the indefinite future. I didn’t see the need for a second car in the household anymore, thus the reason to sell my car. My spouse worked less than a mile and a half from the house and my commute was seconds to a desk in the house. I saw what the benefits of the 2020 scenario did for the environment and saw the need to purchase an electric vehicle. I was sold on purchasing a VW ID4 electric vehicle after speaking with Domingo Iglesias. He was educated on the product, what the competitive car manufacturers offered as well as the outlook of the car industry and being a finance person I was impressed with his views. I delayed the purchase until July 2023 since I missed the May 1 deadline for the NJ state grant of $4,000. Domingo who was awfully familiar with the process and the state’s reintroducing the EV credit of $4,000 for cars with an MSRP of $45K and below and $1,500 for vehicles $45-$55k MSRP. For the next steps, Domingo brought home an ID.4 for me to test drive. That was door service I had never experienced, I purchased over 14 vehicles to-date spanning over 20 years. He explained the car and the benefits of driving an EV in today’s world. He discussed the estimated range on a full charge depending on the driving conditions. He shared with me the 3 years of free 30 mins charging offered by VW and the maintenance service. He answered all my questions during the process of buying this vehicle and helped explain the vehicle’s technology since this was my first EV. He followed up with me after my purchase to ensure I was okay and happy with the car. Domingo is not a car salesman but a patron partner and keeps his patron’s view and interest at best . As a result of his partnering skills, I would always look to collaborate with Domingo on my future car purchases. Thanks DI and Paul Miller for your kind white-glove treatment. Kind...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of purchasing a car at Paul Miller of Bernardsville, and I have to say that the experience was largely positive, thanks to the exceptional service I received from the sales person, William (Bill) Fischer. Unlike many salespeople, William never felt pushy or overwhelming, which made the entire process feel much more relaxed and comfortable. His expertise really helped me understand the car I was interested in, and he was always happy to answer my questions without pressure. I loved not receiving 20 phone calls a day from him! That being said, there were some aspects of the experience that left me feeling a bit uneasy. First their business development manager Emily Milian promises you a lower price over the phone that she is clearly not authorized to provide just to get you in. There are better ways of getting people in without lying. This I did not appreciate. When it came time to discuss the monthly pricing details, I noticed some discrepancies between the price agreed on and what was being presented. While I understand that some adjustments may be made for various factors, I was a bit surprised by how defensive the business manager Robert Heisner became when we raised these concerns. It would have been helpful if they had been more transparent and open to discussing these add-on charges rather than becoming defensive and cold. This definitely surprised me as he seemed to have been doing that job for a while. Despite these challenges, I appreciate the overall quality of service provided by William. I’d recommend working with William for anyone looking for a smooth and informative car-buying experience. Just be prepared to carefully review the fine print when it comes to pricing and...
Read moreI am a lost customer now. Been servicing my vw Atlas here and when looking at a used 2018 vw gulf with a manual transmission was treated like a worthless customer. Gave the salesman an offer of $995 less than asking in a cash purchase as it was priced as if automatic transmission and was told by salesman that if only I would finance the car and keep the loan outstanding for 90 days he could reduce price by a few hundred (apparently he hasnt heard of interest expense). Then later on Edward Schoonmaker called and we discussed and said he would call later on that evening after working the numbers to see what he could do for me on price reduction. That evening waited and was willing to take our $ up. No call. We ended up buying 2020 Toyota Corolla Hatchback instead next day...Toyota dealership brought price down $1k and offered $500 more than Paul Miller vw on trade-in without haggling, it was their assessment. There was no "if only you weren't paying cash" attitude. We never did get a call back from either Edward Schoonmaker or the salesman. I now happily service my vw Atlas at Trend Motors in Rockaway and will not buy my future cars at any Paul Miller dealership. That stick shift car was up for sale for another 3 weeks before it came off their inventory as sold, so it wasn't like it flew off their shelf. I guess they wanted their asking with a buyer who would finance. Cash is not king at this dealership and people who pay cash are 2nd rate citizens. What the heck, could have at least have called back...
