Saw Neal Berg's 100 years of Broadway. It was a great show. Not critiquing the show, only the venue. They were selling drinks in the lobby but weren't permitted in the theater. We were told otherwise by the peoole selling the drinks. That's annoying because either you have to chug the drink or waste the money you wouldn't have spent if you knew the rules in the first place. There was no usher in the lobby directing the easiest way to get to the section we needed to get to however, while I was finishing my drink I happened to talk with another woman who happened to be there to watch the door and who previously volunteered there for decades. She told me the best way to get to my seat. She could see I was with someone who was clearly disabled. You can take the elevator and approach the higher level seats downward instead of funneling into the main doors and climbing up the entire staircase. It has stadium style seating so that's a bonus not having to dodge between head bops. Bathrooms were clean. Parking...
Read moreGreat Leigh Valley performance art center with a variety of programming. The seats are comfortable, sight lines are good, acoustics are good and the lighting is good. The venue has ample parking in the parking deck connected to the building with multiple points of entry and exit to make it easy to find a spot. Just note that the parking deck only has 6'2" of clearance so some pick up trucks may not fit.
While the ticketing platform is easy to use, the fees at the end of the transaction were not disclosed earlier in the process. For the show we went to, the general admission ticket did not have assigned seats but the online ticket platform presented the sale as needing to reserve seats. Since we knew the show didn't have assigned seats we didn't worry about it, but anyone looking into a show should clarify whether the seating is aligned and what transaction fees will be applied.
Still giving the arts center 5 stars because the building, venue, and programming are great, and a ticketing interface...
Read moreI don't think I had even heard of this venue before I received a gift certificate for it. I used it to see "The Planets" with a friend. We had an awesome time! The theater is spectacular. Staff makes sure everything runs smoothly and everyone is able to find their seat easily. The whole place is clean and there's neat art displayed as well as merch, snacks, and drinks to purchase. The center has an eclectic mix of performances and I can see myself coming to many more shows in the future! As an added bonus, there are lots of bars, restaurants, and shops nearby to stop at before or...
