We rented a full day small luxury boat for our family. When we showed up, the first thing they ask you is “did you know you can’t swim off the boat,” which we did not know and was not only a surprise to us, but to mostly everyone who showed up throughout the day. Once they pulled up our “luxury boat”, we were told we could fish off of it (which online said you couldn’t) so we didn’t pack any of our gear for it. Then they said we could buy fishing stuff from them or rent from a different location on the lake but you couldn’t take the boat to that location as you’re not allowed to dock ANYWHERE on the lake but their marina. When we got on the boat, there was nothing luxury about it. The upholstery was sunrotted (boat S28), tie off ropes were short/falling apart, there were spider webs and a giant spider living up in the corner, the shade wasn’t strapped/was very loud, the fuel gauge didn’t work and we were told to guess or open up the side and look in the gas tank. We tried to make the best time of the lake but there is only so much you can do when you can’t get off and enjoy the water, tow anyone, or dock at different locations. When we dropped off the boat there were multiple people arguing about not being aware you couldn’t swim off any of their boats including kayaks. We ended up cutting our day short after going across the lake and coves a couple times and only did a half day. We’ve rented boats many times from different places and have never run into this type of situation or issues. The employees are very friendly and clearly understand a lot of the renters are unaware of what they’re getting into and I would not recommend renting from here and try to find something else or a...

We booked a site a head of time for Saturday, October 10, 2021 through Saturday, October 18th. We had to call the office several times because everytime you call you get a different answer about availability. Twice before we were given reserved sites just to drive 8 hours and be told our site was not available. Day 1, we were given a note saying the water would be turned off at 5PM and back on at 10:00AM each day. The next day, when we tried to use the restrooms, it was around 12:30PM, each toilet was full of feces, as the water had been turned off for the restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. That day, they they told us those facilities are turned off for the season. On Tuesday, October 12th, they came out and turned the water off at our site by noon. The office then told us the water was turned off for the season. We were left with no amenities that we already paid for. When we tried to leave on the 13th (cut our vacation in half) and asked for a refund or raincheck, that request was denied. The lady at the office said they no longer even give refunds if you have to cancel a reservation 6 days ahead of your stay as their site says they will. Buyer beware. The website does not reflect the RV Park at all. There is no water around the RV Park and greatly reduced water in the marina. The happy water sports they advertise no longer exist. The owners don't care if you get the spot they tell you you'll get and they make no efforts to accomodate you. They will give you a note that says their cable is not working at this time, but the truth is that they do not have cable and have not had it...

BE WARE AND MAKE SURE YOU'R GETTING THE RIGHT PRICING!

Well, I wish I could say I had a good experience with a pontoon boat but I couldn't even get past the rude associates on the phone to want to go ahead with making the booking. The prices on their link to book pontoon boats were NOT at all what was listed on the website. I wanted to book for late June. I called to check on the pricing and was told that the prices change "all the time", the pricing on the booking link was correct, and I'd have to go there to get the correct pricing. So basically, the website is wrong and it will always be wrong. I was then passed off to a second associate and I started over again. This person iterated the same thing and when I advised that this needed to be fixed because it was wrong and deceptive, she blurted something and the phone went dead. I called back because I thought we had surely been disconnected but after I went through the first associate again and got to the second associate where the disconnection occurred, I realized I had been very rudely hung up on twice. The second time I at least understood what the associate said before she became very audibly flustered, annoyed, and hung up on me, "I'll communicate that to my IT, have a good rest of your day!" CLICK!

Again, wish I could say something about a pontoon boat, my experience didn't go beyond incredibly rude associates and therefore no appetite to use this business.

We rented a large premium luxury pontoon boat on Aug 5, 2020. The boat was everything that was advertised, and the young man acclimating us to the boat was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful morning and great experience, and would certainly rent from them again. Thank you Holloway! We visited Big Bear again in August of 2022 and rented a large premium luxury pontoon boat from Holloway's. We again had a great experience, although it rained for 1/2 the time we were out on the lake! It made for a unique adventure. The boat was clean and functioned just as it should have for us. Thank you again Holloway! We were back for 2023 and were not disappointed. The boat functioned perfectly and the staff made sure we had everything that we needed. Our two-hour rental was perfect for taking a tour of the lake, and we look forward to the next time. 2024 UPDATE: Nothing new to report. We had another great experience with the boat and staff at Holloway's. Thank you AGAIN for a wonderful time on the lake. 2025 UPDATE: Another fantastic time on the lake with Holloway's boat. The staff was friendly, helpful, and super to work with. It looks like we'll just have to keep coming back!

I reserved two nights and decided to stay two more. I liked my spot, #18, which had a paved pad surrounded by abundant gravel and morning and late afternoon shade. I also like that some landscaping created a physical barrier between sites. The office staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful. The park is small and is adjacent to a marina. Both look old and portions seem overly weathered, though parts of the RV park were acceptably maintained. Other sites were full sun and some sites were all dirt, some sites had deteriorated asphalt pads, some sites were all gravel, which looked thick and freshly spread. I was there mid-week in July, about 2/3 of the sites were occupied, many appeared to be long-term, those sites were reasonably well kept. A few other sites were occupied by campers but in the four days I was there I saw no one enter them. The marina was moderately busy but that had little impact on the RV Park. I will stay here again if I can get #18 or a similar site and I really like that this park is about a mile to the Village. Moderate ATT 5G signal. The campground WiFi had good days and less-than-good days. About $75/night.
