This was a last minute decision and it was the best!! We stayed in the cottage which is it's own unit with a backyard!! We loved it and wished we could've stayed longer. Ken the owner was amazing to work with and very knowledgeable about surrounding trails and wildlife. We will be back for sure!!

Rustic comfort. Great hospitality. The kids loved the freedom to play close by, to swim. The fireplace was a treat. Max was a gracious host and met any needs we had. We will be back!

PLEASE READ CREEPY NEIGHBOR!!!!. okay so let me for real honest about this place. We stayed in cabin #1 with the Jacuzzi tub was so perfectish, definitely a cute romantic spot just close enough to a town to enjoy different types of food and activities but far enough away to feel peaceful quiet of no people. Things here didn't work like the fireplace or oven (the burners worked just not the oven?) but for the price we were getting that was okay just be more honest or update your page more. The mattress was really comfy but as i got on the bed frame a pole pop out it was easy to put back in but maybe something worth checking when you clean. There's definitely mice activity but it's the woods its just what to be expected. They do clean really well for the most part just little things like the built in cutting obviously hasn't been pulled out in awhile it was covered is mose dropping but that was the only thing everything was actually spotless. They didn't gve is the Internet with the cabin password and calling/messaging them after 8:30 to 9pm won't be helpful or you so maybe get there earlier or hopefully they provide it in the first email after this lol. But they major thing the NEIGHBOR. we were bqq outside, having a drink and just enjoying the nice area wee surrounded by when all of sudden a guy comes out next store. Whatever we noticed him yesterday he kinda just sat by the fence as we cook whatever. Then we looked close he tried to like cover himself with plant by the fence to just stare at us.. we look at him for a second just kinda like is he gonna stop or we over reacting but the way he looked at me sent a cold chill down my spine. My partner asked them if they needed anything they awkwardly shuffled without a word, if we wouldn't of said or noticed him I don't know how long he would of stared at us. Plus they didn't provide the best curtains for kitchen and bedroom so it pretty easy to look into the living room area where the Jacuzzi tub is. Honestly I know that's not an owner created problem but definitely worth addressing for your guest. We definitely felt like we were being watched or something which is just not what you want on vacation. I would give this place 6.5 to 7. Pretty awesome especially for the price your getting but there's downside that go from mild inconvenience to can't sleep because your scared of being watched by the guy across the fence... This place could use some TCL but motel 6 ,is more than this has less to offer so if your looking for cute cheaper place to stay this is it.... Just bring some pepper spray or something for the...

Stayed here with my parents and family in cabin 8. This is a set of 17 cabins (most paired I think, so a shared wall and some with an option to double up with a lockable door between the cabins) nearly all with basic cooking facilities, fridge/freezer, TV, beds and sofabeds, towels, some toiletries like soap, BBQ, etc. Their website has a description of each cabin and they're not all equally equipped so check what you're booking. Speaking of which, their rebooking fees are a little high ($50 to change dates), however, they brought forward our midweek reservation by a day with no charge. I suspect they're more amenable during quieter periods.||||Unlike most cabins in Big Bear where they entice you in with "only $80 per night!" and then hit you with taxes, fees, service charges, "cleaning" fees, agency referral fees, booking fees, and suchlike bumping up a 2x$80 stay to $400 or more, this place just charges a fixed fee per night (ok, plus some tax but

We were not informed that our room was on the second floor, quite literally only two rooms were on the second floor that used stairs, as our party had a disabled person, it was a very infuriating experience. Since they called the rooms, “cabins” you would presume that the “cabins” are only for one party, not a hotel with multiple families. I would hear the other families through the walls and I wanted no one next to the wall, as I informed the lodge, they recommend the most expensive single party cabin that was over 900 dollars while our unwanted cabin was much cheaper. As we actually entered the “cabin” the rooms were unsanitary, there was half eaten food left on the counter, and a spider too. As I am not familiar with spiders, I did not know whether it was dangerous or not. There was also not as much in the kitchen as promised, the bowls were chipped and no pans. The room is cramped with the queen sized bed, and the place is definitely very old, as the door is also hard to open. Some things were broken as well, they should check before letting people into the lodge, but I don’t even think they even cleaned this lodge with the other problems I stated earlier. Some things were broken as well, also the window was open very slightly and I feel as though it should have been closed, not really a complaint just a peeve for that, and that only. I complained with the lodge, and couldn’t get a full refund either, when I really should’ve because it’s not just an unclean room, it’s unclean during COVID times. I had no choice to stay since it was late but I would not recommend staying in the place. The only reason I got this place was because they allowed dogs, and seeing other dogs was literally the only highlight of my experience...
