The Grand Escape Room — Attraction in Billings

We had a really great time here and they were really gracious to us when I made a booking error. I selected the wrong date online by mistake and it was an inconvenience for them. Yet they rebooked us when they didn’t have to. Also, we enjoy doing things together as a family so we brought all our young children with us. I wasn’t sure if it would be family friendly or not but our kids had a great time. Some of it was over their heads but they were helpful with finding things and moving pieces, etc. At first I was frustrated we didn’t make it out in time. There was a lot more going on than I expected! But after thinking about it I’m glad it was a challenge because I’m excited to go back again. If I had mastered it from the get go I probably wouldn’t be so quick to go back. I was expecting to to to be mainly written/mental clues but my favorite aspect was how there were physical challenges as well. That really made it for me. Look forward to our next family date...

I will be trying this experience again and will re-review if my opinion changes. I attempted the Mail Room escape room with my family and was fairly dissappointed with the design of the games.

Many of the puzzles werent intuitive at all. The biggest failure of the design team is that for most of this room, there is only one puzzle to work on at a time and you follow a linear progression. We had 7 people in the room, only 3-ish of which could participate at a time because none of the rest of the room could be utilized until you solved the current puzzle. This meant lots of people just sitting around trying stuff that becomes obvious later--wasted time.

Couldve been just this room, and maybe I am spoiled with the excellent rooms Ive done before, but this one seemed lackluster and unintuitive and heavily reliant on find "random" number...

A group of friends and I decided to give the grand escape Room a chance. We had never done an escape Room but it sounded like it would be pretty fun. We had such a great time! It was a bunch (6) 30year old professionals and we ended up coming back the next day to do another one! We started with colorless on the hard setting and did it in 60:01.... The door literally opened right after the time expired, but our whole group decided we still counted as a win. We did the mail Room next and it was really fun. We ended up completing it with about 8 minutes to spare, but we had to get 3 clues in order for it to happen. If you've never done one of these, give one a try!
