♿️ Absolutely loved what they have done underneath the overpasses downtown. Started on 15th Street and continued to follow the red path. Each curb is painted a different color, so you know you're entering a new piece of the park. Easily got 3 miles in walking to the pond and then back, but made lots of stops along the way for pictures. It is difficult to find free parking here and wonder if your car will still be there or not when you get done. Lots of the app related parking spots. Easy access to BJCC(Legacy Arena), the Birmingham Art Museum, Uptown, and more. It needs some upkeep for sure and it's obvious with the weeds among the flower beds and the public restrooms could use a good cleaning. There were plenty of people with CityWalk hats on and name badges to help guide you if you got lost or were looking for something in particular. Glad I got to see and walk most of it and will return. If you haven't been, add it to your list. I found another Vulcan statue so I got to add it to the ones I've found. They aren't hidden, but they are if that makes sense. It's like the donkeys in Jasper. This is a flat concrete area. Easy to walk, wheelchair ♿ accessible and friendly, but there are stairs in many places. And while searching Uptown, I found they have a ramp at the end or beginning, depends on...

The park is still beautiful and well maintained but in the middle of the Alabama summer they have constructed a fence around the skating rink area and the green space between the rink and the skate park. The fence is locked and this part of the park is not open until 12 or later in the middle of the summer when school is out... Who wants to come skate in the hottest part of the day??? Just when I thought Birmingham had done well they they go and lock up something that should be accessible any time... I understand the skateboard park being locked or having staff, but a flat open rink and a green space for kids to play? It just seems like the city isn't as...
Read more1st time visit. Went to the area by the skateboard and roller skating. Roller skating rink was empty, as the action was more on the skateboarding side. A clean fun.place for kids and adults alike. Parking is free and ample. It's close to the arena and FBI. Took us a few times to find it, but the local police was helpful in navigating us to thebarea. Road area closed off at a certain time to allow for the safety of the park users. The only downside was that there were NO restrooms. Was told the management had them closed - no one knows why. So keep that in mind when visiting. I also did notice a place to charge...
