The Harbert Center — Local services in Birmingham

This review will be short because I don't know much about The Harbert Center other than my one visit there. I went for a Charity Masquerade Ball event a little while ago and was very surprised that I'd never heard of nor noticed this facility before. It's VERY nice!

It's pretty much an event center including a large, nice Atrium, 2 Halls, a Library and a Terrace. Decorations and Catering can be done in-house (not sure of details about bringing outside vendors). The website shows amazing decorations for Weddings/Receptions as well.

The event I attended had a cash bar and buffet styled dinner, including a carving station. Food was just okay and service from staff was hit or miss imo. I also needed to run to the car during the event, and though there was a security guard on duty in the main lobby near the entrance, I feel he was either sleep or waaay too distracted by his phone while we were there.

If you ever need to host an event with a considerable number of people, check out the Harbert Center. Assuming the pricing is fair, I think this will be a nice place...

We want to highly recommend booking your next event at The Harbert Center. Just one week before our scheduled(at a local restaurant), we found out that restaurant booked us for the wrong night. We contacted several locactions in Birmingham that could accommodate 40 people and properly social distance us. After speaking with Jessica, we were convinced this was the right place. She was so helpful and on top of things. The staff that night was delightful to work with and the food was terrific! We had a fantastic evening. The Birmingham (AL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. held their Annual Black and White Holiday Gala at The Harbert Center. The event was a complete success. This was due in part to the professionalism of Jessica Plemons and the entire team at The Harbert Center. They made our event unforgettable and effortless. The Harbert Center is a first-class event facility, and their team far exceeded expectations. The food was great, and the wait staff was amazing.
