
When the Hokies are winning and this place is full it is one of the loudest home venues in college basketball. However, when they are struggling the home team advantage is average at best. It's an on campus arena and donors have access to the best parking. General parking is in the remote lots and you have a fairly long walk or you can take one of the shuttle buses that run about every 15 or 20 minutes. Concessions are what you would expect, the usual hot dogs, pop corn and soft drinks. Beer is served with valid ID. The is a small variety of specialty concessions like BBQ and sandwiches. Read moreI attended Virginia Tech Wrestling matches this season in the Cassell. They wrestle on the main floor and it is SO exciting! If you don't know much about wrestling or have never attended a match, do yourself a favor and catch one of these events! It's free for now. Just saying, our team is very talented, and we have several NATIONALLY ranked grapplers! It is incredibly exciting! Watching each individual announced before their match and seeing them run out of the tunnel thru the smoke and the fans are all yelling. It's mind blowing! It is the best free family entertainment in town!...
