Brookside Park — Attraction in Bloomfield

Brookside Park is a great little park next to a pizzeria, Dunkin Donuts, and a 7-11. The Third River runs through it and there's a neat bridge crossing it in the middle of the park. On the northeastern side of the park there is a softball field, and on the western side there's a playground.

In the middle of the park, on the east side there is a gazebo and an area for picnics/BBQ.

There's always plenty of ducks and geese milling about at the southern end of the park, sometimes an egret or heron will stop by.

Brookside Park is located on Broad Street in Bay Avenue in Bloomfield New Jersey it’s a pretty decent sized park and it’s a very nice park it has a nice river front walkway which is very nice and there’s often ducks and geese which makes the park even prettier there’s also a very small playground for a much smaller little kids and there’s also a bunch of benches in the baseball field right by the river front it runs along the third River my overall experience at Brookside Park is very good it’s a very nice scenic park that you can walk through perfect for a walk or...

This is a nice little play area for smaller children. I like the different areas such as a musical area with a xylophone, drums. I like the slides, they're not too high and they're not made of metal so the children don't have to worry about being burned on a hot sunny day. it's well kept and everybody that was there the day I was there was very respectful of the grounds. The children seem to really enjoy themselves. Parking is at a minimal but it's worth riding around to find parking. There is a parking lot across the street but you have to pay for that....
