I have been visiting this store for over two years now and I have never had such a terrible experience as today. I visited pharmacy to get some prescription and meantime I decided to return an item which I didnot have a receipt for. I have done that before and they had given me a store credit with no issue. Today the cashier Jamilatu treated me and my husband (who does not speak English too well and i tried to help him) terribly- she asked me hundreds of questions starting from “what’s wrong with this item?”to “why are you making this complicated?” While she was making it complicated herself. she could just issue store credit based in my ID. The manager told me exactly these words “i will ban you from this store”. This is ridiculous! Manager should try to calm the situation and handle it - not just blame the customer and threaten to kick the her out (the customer who is loyal to CVS brand in general, not only to this store). The manager can not ban someone especially when he had not even bothered to ask what happened and started yelling at me directly. I did not want the situation to become more tense and I just left grabbing my prescription. I have never ever been treated in this store (and even any other places) like this before. Everyone is so nice and helpful ALWAYS. It was just her bad day maybe and/or she is new and does not know how to do something. She has no clue!!!! Please, consider the management of this store and mind other staff who is nice there not to be on the same boat with...
Read moreI normally use Walgreens for my prescriptions, but I decided to switch to CVS in Bloomfield to avoid the long lines at Walgreens. Big mistake.
When I tried to pick up my prescription, CVS told me that the group number on my insurance card wasn’t valid. I even called my insurance company on the spot and they confirmed multiple times that my card information was 100% correct. To make matters worse, the medication I was picking up is fully covered by my insurance. CVS failing to recognize my group number meant that they would have forced me to pay out of pocket for something I am completely insured for, which is unacceptable.
If this happens to you, don’t waste your time calling your insurance company because this is an internal CVS system issue, not an insurance problem.
I ended up having my doctor transfer my prescription back to Walgreens where I had zero issues and was able to get my medication hassle free. Honestly, I now understand why Walgreens always has long lines because they are clearly the more competent pharmacy.
Save yourself the frustration and just stick...
Read moreThe only reason why I am giving stars is because of Ariel at the desk who was very pleasant and nice but i had to wait a hour for my prescription and my doctor sent it over .so the issue was about my prescription coverage. First off the pharmacist lady in charge told the girl that I had to call myself .when I get on the phone the help desk tells me that they were supposed to call the help desk and verify if I had coverage. That 20 minutes I wasted the rest of the time the girl was on the phone trying to verify my information. And then most of the time the pharmacist was sitting on her ass in the back while the other girls were trying to help me and other people in the store. I think one time I seen her come around the desk to help. By the end of my transaction all of my medicine was. Not even there. The pharmacist asked me if she could order the following day (are you serious! You guys had me in here a hour and you do not even have all of my child's meds! If my daughter did not need her medicine so bad i am telling u I would have went...
