Came here for the first time recently and had a weird experience. First, our server seemed irritated we were just there for drinks (it's a pub, my guy). Second, my friend ordered a whiskey on the rocks and when he was 2/3 done with the glass, felt something on his tongue, which turned out to be a fruit fly. Okay, maybe it landed there while drinking it, no biggie. The waiter brought a replacement, great... Except the replacement also had a fruit fly in it. The bartender checked the bottle and then cracked a new bottle to pour a replacement glass. We appreciated the new bottle but that does still mean there were likely flies in the bottle or in the spout (if a spout was in use, we didn't look closely at it ourselves and were across the room from the bar).
So like, life happens, sometimes bugs get places. We could forgive and forget, until we saw that my friend was charged for all the glasses, including the replacement he couldn't drink. When he questioned it, they brought a new bill over. Again, great. Except... the full second glass had just been changed to a shot price, which was like $3 less than the rocks price for an unsafe drink that was never touched. So we talked to the waiter again and finally got them taken off, with only the single drinkable whiskey on it, which we were happy to pay for.
If management reads this, we really don't need anything as compensation. This was just a baffling first experience at a local bar we'd been excited to finally get to, and likely the last time in for...
Read moreI’m so disappointed by my last visit(and it will be my last) to SixPoints it’s taken two days to get this review straight in my head… It always a rather quiet Sunday night- only one other table had 6 customers; a semi-filled bar, maybe 12 people.
Imagine my concern and slight confusion when my sister and I waited for almost an hour for a burger and Rueben sandwich… and they weren’t as we ordered them! The rare burger was well done- not one sign of juice-probably why it took so long- it wasn’t the Rueben sandwich that delayed delivery to the table- that was served on untoasted white bread… yea you ready that correctly- untoasted white bread- a Rueben!!
Mistakes happen; but the unattentive waitress, just shrugged when we asked her to take the food away and remove it from the bill- then we noticed the manager-looking person and other staff member laugh when she told them it was not what we ordered… I can’t decide what was more disappointing the bad service, bad food or bad attitude… but I guess it doesn’t matter we...
Read moreFirst time here. The atmosphere was lively and fun. Appetizers left a lot to be desired, New England Claim chowder was tasteless and completely uninteresting, no resemblance of the soup, calamari was rubbery. It reminded me of why I disliked it in the first place until I traveled to NE where I regained my love for it. Shrimp bowl was good, and the French fries were hot and fresh to my liking. If I return, I'll order wings which come highly rated. Want to call Angie, who was the hardest working individual in the establishment. She was phenomenal, making sure everyone got their order as soon as it was up, and when she didn't have an order, she was filing ketchup containers and preparing silverware settings kudos to her. Management, promote her to being a waitress. Btw, I never got the name of my waitresses. SPP, you have a few things to work on. Hope you find my...
