Imagine it being 3pm, it's pouring down raining cats and dogs, the wind is fierce because the state you are in is under a tornado watch, so as a truck driver you pull in to the SAFEST SPOT you can find. The weather is BAD, you can barely see the roads. You see a grocery store with a big lot. You pull in and park. When the weather clears for a bit, before going back into a tantrum, you notice signs that say NO SEMI parking,...so to be courtesy you go to speak with the manager on duty letting them know that you had to park immediately because of the weather and you didn't notice their signs, and because you are now out of drive time you would be parked on their lot (which is not only on the side of their building and also out of the way of the customers, as I only observed 2 maybe 3 cars in this area while being parked) for a few hours while you reset on your drive time. Imagine being told it was okay. Imagine spending hundreds of dollars in this store being that you haven't been near a "real" one in weeks and needed more than a few items to get by...grocery, personals, etc......also imagine at 6 am.....after you've been in a spot all night, not causing any problems. A guy banging on your door pretending to be a "concerned citizen" telling you the parking lot rules and basically threatening you that " the tow trucks come through here at random at anytime and it's a 1500 tow if they do. Imagine being a manager for Amazon for 12 years so you knew by the way he looked, dressed, and approached me that he too was management of the store, not only that when I mentioned I spoke to someone about the situation he said " oh they said you could, well I'm only informing you because I've seen towing happen before." Make this the last time you park here ( like I've done it before 🙄🙄) as a driver, I was offended. I also watched him go to the end of the lot I was at, write my trailer and truck number down...he was dialing numbers so I'm going to suspect that the tow trucks don't come out as random as he would like, so he was calling to make sure they did a few rounds. I'm unable to move my truck or I'll face a $10,000 for working while being out of service, so because of the "concerned citizen" I returned everything I purchased from this store. (I may need ALL my coins to get my truck out of impound) However, I find it very funny that parking isn't allowed but the store has absolutely no problem taking deliveries that truck drivers provide nor accepting the money we work so hard for to purchase items from their store.
This company never has to worry about me patronizing any of their business ever again. I canceled my Meijers rewards as well. I refuse to shop where...
Read moreCould use some better customer service and courtesy. I was short 20 pills from a prescription. I went back for a second time, as the first it was sent to the wrong meijer, which i have never used. They told me that i was given a 2 bottle prescription, one bottle containing 100 pills and the other supposed to have contained the other 2. They were supposed to have been listed as 1 and 2 of 2, yet I do not recall receiving the 2nd nor seeing such labeling.( I have NEVER gotten a prescription from meijer in this manner, nor do i recall receiving a sealed 100 pill bottle, so there was an obvious change) I pleaded my case to the pharmacist, to no avail and since the label had been partially torn off, probably because I normally remove my info when i dispose of bottles or it was also attached to paperwork that i discarded. The pharmacist would not take my word for it thru much discussion and went so far as having to have someone review the video of the transaction to see how many bottles i received, which i have not been informed of yet. They could have simply said, "look, it's possible either we made a mistake or you mistakenly threw the bottle out, not expecting 3, and suggested we authorize an early refill, but it turned into an argument. Finally she said she'd review the tape and would contact me if they in fact did not give me the 20 pills and replace them. We were able to get authorization for the refill, but upon receiving it, the woman who gave them to me said sarcastically, "do you want me to count them for you". I assumed they had done that as they just did it. I said in return, "no, i can tell by looking at it there's 120. I felt there was a lack of courtesy on both workers parts. Professionalism is one thing, but if you're in a customer service position I feel that there should also be a friendly atmosphere as well, which i feel is lacking. I have since transferred my...
Read moreI had been shopping at this store when it initially opened in 2005, customer service was wonderful, besides the Managers and leads exemplified exceptional customer service etiquette. I appreciate diversity within any business, but when they place those without any customer interaction training that is where negative yet alone toxic interactions with customers will transpire.
They have an Asian guy who lacks interpersonal skills with customers by the name of Leap. Because of his inadequate training yet alone his lack of customer service professionalism, I started shopping elsewhere, but I had to take into consideration that he is just one individual and that I will not allow his negativity, nor ignorance to further incite me to stop shopping at my favorite store.
The reason I gave it 4 stars is because of Tima, Claire, Doug, Ernest, Sean, Josh and numerous other wonderful employees, who exhibit excellent customer service skills, Ernest is very nice and respectful manager who is very helpful and generates a very positive attribute not only to us as customers, but his staff as well.
I also recognize that the store on the corporate level made cuts in hours for staff and its rather difficult placing staff to assist all customers, but maybe the much-needed changes will create a more proactive and positive change once corporate recognizes the importance and need for more staff.
It is an amazing store but that Leap guy pushed my buttons on numerous occasions, where I needed to write about his lack of professionalism as team leader or in management. But I love Meijer and majority...
