UPDATE 11/28/2022: La-Z-Boy isn't what it used to be. My original review below tells you that I had great faith in their products, but less than one year in, and our recliner is broken. I am disheartened by the breakage, but I'm more disappointed in the warranty service. I contacted La-Z-Boy on Oct. 3rd and the 11th, both by phone and email. I received a call on Oct. 21st. I was told there were no appointments available, and the repair wouldn't be scheduled until November. As of today, Nov. 28th, there has been no contact from the service department. I have called and emailed, but no reply. It's a shame for a few reasons. One, I paid for the extended warranty coverage, and at this point I feel like that was a big waste of money. Two, the holiday's are upon us and I have a broken recliner stuffed into a corner in my dining room. Unusable and taking up space. And three, I was so happy when we moved back to Illinois where there were La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. But this experience pretty much guarantees I won't be shopping here again. It's not worth it. Live and learn. Original review We knew the only place to go for recliners, that are built to last, was La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries. They did not disappoint. We are so excited about our purchase! Thanks to Lydia, two beautiful leather recliners will soon be delivered to our home. The customer service she provided can only be described as above and beyond helpful. She listened to what we were looking for, was very knowledgeable about the multitude of options, and provided us with several choices. We opted for the Cadillac of recliners: the Astor. It has all the bells and whistles. We spent a bit more than we originally intended, but I am a firm believer of, "you get what you pay for." But seriously, I'm good with the price because it's La-Z-Boy. We'll be sitting in comfort for years and years. Our previous La-Z-Boy recliner was 17 years old when we gave it away. The recliner we replaced it with, which wasn't a La-Z-Boy, only lasted 4 years. We'll be kicking it to the curb as soon as our new...
Read moreUpdate: Whatever happened to customer service. It seems it is not the priority anymore. I ordered my furniture June 7, received it July 31. The sofa had a hole in it. I called or local store here in Bloomington, Illinois where the order was placed. Instead of them taking care of it for me, I was directed to call the warranty department in Springfield, Illinois. I Left at least 2 messages and no return call, so I called the local store again and low and behold, the Warranty department then returned my call. They had me send pictures of the hole and its location. Connie informed me in 2-3 weeks I would receive a section of material, I would then need to contact the Warranty department again once I received it, then they would schedule someone to repair the damaged sofa section. After waiting 3 1/2 weeks I called the Warranty department to let them know I still have not received the material. Lisa returned my call saying, "I am not sure why they told you 2-3 weeks, we are running behind and it takes at least 6-8 weeks." Seriously, another 6-8 weeks to have someone ship material that is probably sitting in a warehouse. That is ridiculous amount of time! Update: It has been over 8 weeks still no material. Spoke with Nellie on Friday she said she would follow up and have someone get back to me on a Monday ...it is Thursday, NO call back yet. Called Springfield again. They shipped the material to an old address (I haven't lived there in over 3 years...funny how the sofa made it to the correct address). I told Lisa she needs to track down the package and have it sent overnight. She said she probably could not do that but would check into it. She called back within the hour and said she just placed a new order and we would get it in 4-6 weeks....WHAT, that is ridiculous! I need a manager or owner to call me, I there is no way I am going to wait a total for nearly 6 months to have...
Read moreSave yourself and go anywhere else. We ordered a custom sectional and chair and weâre told delivery would be 30 weeks, which we accepted⌠it ended up being delivered around 49 weeks later... Absolutely zero communication from La-Z-Boy until I called them asking where my furniture was near the original delivery date and was told they had no clue what the status of the furniture was. Once our furniture was finally delivered things only got worse. It was not the quality of furniture we saw on the show room floor and totally felt like a bait and switch situation. La-Z-Boy essentially blew off my complaints and told me to let a service technician come out to inspect the furniture. The technician came and found multiple issues with the furniture mechanical and appearance wise. The pull out sofa mechanics was shipped broken, the recliner mechanism was damaged, and different couch cushions had different cushion fill making it uneven and uncomfortable. The 7,000 dollar sectional is roughly 6 months old and is already showing wear. You can feel the wood under the armchairs, it squeaks, and multiple other issues. The technician told us someone would be reaching out to us in two weeks after his visit. It has been two months and absolutely zero communication from La-Z-Boy. When I tried to call the store to figure out what was going on they had a message that said âwe are currently not taking phone calls, because they were too busy training employeesâ or something like that. Absolutely bizarre. How they are in business amazes me. We are almost two years into this process and all we have to show for it is expensive junk furniture and wasted time. I will be reporting them to the BBB as they are completely useless in trying to find any resolution and are essentially scamming their customers. Go somewhere else and save yourself the headache and...
