Old House Society — Attraction in Bloomington

Good selection crappy prices. I was charged more than was indicated on the item for things recently purchased. The clerk said something about old prices that the old management had made. Very questionable quality for what you are paying for on some items. Not all hardware was created equal even 80 years ago. Some of the hardware is actually cheaper for new reproduction pieces of the same quality. Shop around before you use this place. Old management was much friendlier and the prices were more reasonable.

First off.. the selection.. WOW. I had trouble finding one thing I liked everywhere else. I found 20 different options here. And the price was crazy reasonable. Put this shop in a major city and you're tripling the prices.

It's honestly not close to us, but we'll definitely be back. I can't emphasize how great the store, staff, and atmosphere were. I appreciate that they're preserving past decor...

This place has amazing finds for anyone trying to replace those authentic old fixtures in a pre-1950's house. The folks here have a great sense of humor and really love what they do.
