This could be a really fun, enjoyable experience. The course itself is really neat, but there were definitely some issues in need of resolving. We made a reservation on Memorial Day weekend. Us and a family of 6 showed up at the same time. I had my purse with me and asked if there were lockers. The guide said no, but with the virus going on, guests were not allowed in the office and they would lock it up there. Sure, no problem. As I'm gearing up, a family of 8 shows up with no reservation. The guide tells them right in front of me, "Go ahead and wait in the office and someone with be with you shortly." What?? He had left my purse just sitting on the counter in easy reach of anyone. So, I had to remove all my gear, grab my purse, and lock it in the car. By the time I made it back, the family without the reservation was gearing up and jumped in front of us in line. Usually this wouldn't be a big deal, but there were two issues: this family was very... out of shape and therefore was doing the course extremely slowly. Secondly, they were taking absolutely no precautions with the virus. Had us lining up shoulder to shoulder and none of the equipment appeared to be sanitized. Luckily, the family in front of us was only able to make to through level one, so we were able to complete levels two and three at our desired pace. However, they did not supply us any gloves, nor did they recommend them. By the end of the course, everyone's hands were covered in blisters. With the right management, this place could really be awesome. I would recommend to this company that they supply gloves to their guest and take extra precautions during the pandemic. Since sunlight is reported to kill the virus, I don't think they need to sanitize the course, but at least space out different groups - give it at least 15 minutes between them and...
Read moreBe warned, this place false advertises on their own website!
My kids (ages 14 and 11) love ropes courses and wanted to try this one while we were in town visiting family. Since the website said that anyone ages 10-14 must be accompanied by an adult to do the highest level, I bought a $50 ticket for myself also to accompany them on the top, most challenging course. Not until we checked in, geared up, completed levels 1 and 2 and waited on the platform to go up to level 3 did we hear the bad news. The guide then tells us that the rules have changed an no one under 15 can do level 3!
Fine, if that's the rule, then that's the rule. But I never would have bought a $50 ticket for myself had we known this in advance. All the manager said afterwards was "sorry sir, I don't handle the website, that's the rule, sorry you had a bad time". Nice customer service!
We actually had a great time right up until the kids were not allowed to complete course after we all got excited about doing the whole thing.
Buyer beware - false advertising at its worst!! Thanks a lot Blue Ridge...
Read moreI called to inquire about availability and the interaction was not friendly, was treated like an inconvenience. Looking at the reviews, glad I didn't waste my 1 day here or my money. It's obvious this place doesn't care. There's consistent bad reviews and not a single reply. They are like so many other businesses based on tourism. They figure there's enough tourists, it doesn't matter how they treat you as there's always new people coming and you won't be back anyway. We need to all make places like this realize that there's a thing called Google. You can't do like in the past, treat people terribly and not worry about you reputation cause tourists won't find out. You're actions stick with you nowadays, as these reviews will always...
