So... with a very strong homemade martini in hand, I must tell you a scary story. I elected to go to a dog-centered event called Pawfest in Blue Ridge, GA, today since I stumble on as best I can with determined recklessness. I parked prudently for the event, meeting my kind and loving pals nearby. However, it became quickly evident that Wonder Wilson and Magnificent Maggie were NOT up for civilized public behavior despite the investment I had made in their double-dog leash. (Don't ask: Tariffs!) So I made the grown-up decision to put them back in the Subaru since they couldn't behave to the local standards (although they behave entirely consistently with lax and indulgent Sparks Mill standards). BUT: seems I dropped my keys in the dog-run backseat as I attempted to hook them into Subaru-standardized restraints. (This is a key point!) Oops! As I walked around the car, I heard the tell-tale beep that SOMEBODY had locked the car. Wilson? Maggie? Who cares: the task was done. Then I realized my phone was STILL IN THE LOCKED CAR, and I could not cry out for help. I wasn't even sure I knew sweet Andy's number, as I had only punched his dear photo these many months. Who remembers numbers in these desperate, lazy days? Apparently, not me! So... there I was: wandering a parking lot outside and looking into the window of Blue Ridge Flowers. Reader: I walked in and collapsed at the mercy of the most benevolent and gracious folks I have ever known: Blue Ridge Flowers. With sweet empathy--as I had no phone, a locked car full of recalcitrant but deeply loved hounds, and precious little cash PLUS me in a highly emotional state--Michelle and her staff (amazing Keisha and Grace) gently walked me to a resolution. There is SO MUCH more than gorgeous flowers at Blue Ridge Flowers.... there is mercy...
Read moreThe owner (we failed to get her name 😔) was super friendly from the phone call for directions to us walking in the door. We had already went to 2 other florist closer to where we were staying according to maps, but both were epic fails as the first didnt exist and the second we constantly got busy signals on the phone only to find out they also didn't exist. So we looked up Blue Ridge Flowers and although maps took us to a location that wasn't there, upon calling, the owner answered and directed us to where we should be. Needless to say, at this point my daughter's anxiety was high and she was close to just giving up. My daughter and I arrived to purchase flowers for her destination wedding which was later that same day. We told her what my daughter was looking for and she immediately took us into the freezer and starting pulling flowers and fillers and checking to see if each met our approval. My daughter's face lit up during this process and her calm returned as she felt a great relief. We were able to get everything we were looking for and more! And to top things off, upon check out, the price was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! So thank you so very much for being super helpful, friendly and gracious and being a part of making my daughter's wedding super special and beautiful.
Forever grateful, Connie Baxter (Mom - Jefferson, LA) & Sarah Baxter-Austin (daughter -...
Read moreFantastic service! I took my girlfriend to stay for a long weekend in a cabin rental in Blue Ridge. She didn't know that I planned to propose, so I ordered flowers to be delivered to the cabin before we arrived. I chose Blue Ridge Flowers from the google list because they were a non-corporate local florist and offered far better prices and free delivery. I called the day we were to arrive to provide the access code to the delivery driver. The woman I spoke to was very pleasant and informed me that they didn't have some of the flowers needed for the arrangement that I purchased so she upgraded me with better roses for no charge. I told her how much I appreciated that because I was going to propose. At that point she added an "I Love You" balloon to the order for free! When we got to the cabin the arrangement was there and it was beautiful! P.S....
