Purchased a Traeger grill from this location ( platinum dealer on Traeger grills website). This was the absolute worst buying experience. When asking the store employee a few questions about the grill, he said they really don't sell them that often and they are brand new so their isn't any positive reviews about the grills out yet. Mind you Traeger grills have been around for awhile now. His knowledge was next to nothing about the product. We had called the day before to and asked if they offered free assembly and how long it would take. We were told it was free and would take about 15 - 20 mins and could do it the same day. However when we were there we told the employee that we would like it assembled and he said they charge $100.00 and would need a day or two. We explained our prior conversation on the phone and he said he would check with his manager and see. As he was walking around the next isles trying to find what accessories came with the grill & we hear the conversation over their radio that they do offer free delivery, and he said well i wish they would have given us a few days notice before they come in to buy it.When i came back a few hours later to pick it up, i had to wait almost 25 minutes at the cash register while the manager had enough time to come put the grill into their system so they could check me out! Why wasn't that done the few hours i was gone, IDK. The same manager helped me load it into my SUV, and was in a rush to get back inside. When i had finished moving some items out of my 2nd row and got the grill to fit, the same manager happened to walk outside to their propane area, and with a smart tone said you know that's why they make trucks and kept walking back inside. Making it even better, when i made it home i had to still take more time and finish the assembly because the person barely hand tighten the screws and i only knew that because one fell off in my garage! The rack they found at the last second for me is bent and looks terrible. How this store is a platinum Traeger dealer...
Read moreJust went in here to buy a square bale of alfalfa for my milking does. The woman says they have alfalfa and brome, but it's outside and someone will have to open the cage it's in for us to get it. Okay. We buy the alfalfa bale, go outside with the employee, he opens the cage and there is no alfalfa anywhere to be seen. Just a pile of soaking wet, dusty brome hay. The employee walkey talkeys in to the manager who keeps telling him that the pile there IS alfalfa. I said no, alfalfa is green, that is brome and it is soaking wet. We walked over to the other "caged" side, and there is one compressed bale of alfalfa that is also soaking wet, dusty, and sitting next to a trash can. I said "thanks for your help but we're just going to go refund this and go to a different store." Guy apologizes and we go inside.
Once inside we are getting the refund and the manager of the store is walkey talkeying to the cashier that the hay outside IS alfalfa. I say again, "no it's not." Then some teenage kid (employee) pipes up, and says "that IS ALFALFA HAY." Once more I say "no it is not, and even if it were is it soaking wet."
Before we got out of there I heard another employee on the phone with a customer letting them know "yes, we do have bales of alfalfa!".
Please for the love of God train your employees better so they quit trying to sell wet, nasty brome hay to people who come in for alfalfa. Also- allowing your employees to argue with customers is absolutely horrifying customer service. If I were the owner of this store we would be closing for a couple days to do a massive training marathon. Not coming...
Read moreSeveral weeks ago I found a Feldman's ad that offered a tune-up for my Stihl chain saw for $65. My saw had been sitting on the shelf for a few years so I took it to the local Feldman's Blue Springs store and told them specifically that I wanted the $65 tune-up service. They wrote up the ticket and charged me a $37.50 up-front fee (should have spotted that red flag). Weeks later they called and said they inspected it and it will be $125 on top of the $37.50 I already paid. When I reminded the person that I only wanted the $65 tune-up, he disavowed any knowledge of such an offer. I picked up my saw and will never set foot in the place again. A more classic version of "bait and switch" you will never find. This is like taking your car into the dealership for an advertised $125 tuneup only to have them call later and say "We've analyzed your engine and you need rings and rod bearings, that'll be $2500." Now I'm out $37.50 and my saw still needs a tune-up. I am thoroughly disgusted with this place.
EDIT: The store manager "reached out to me" but it was clear from the start that he was angry about wasting his time to make the call. He did apologize for the "confusion" but there was no contrition in his voice and it was clear his apology was forced. He never offered to refund my $37.50 or to honor the...
