MiMi Milk Tea — Restaurant in Blue Springs

I kind of walk around in my own world, and while I had enjoyed boba when I lived in Asia in 2006, I hadn't really thought about it much since. My daughter is a YouTube enthusiast, and mentioned going for boba tea a handful of times recently. Finally, she asked at a time when we were just sitting there looking at each other. Some people from her class had enjoyed tea from Donut Palace on NW 7hwy, so we drove up there, and they were already closed for the day. Not to be defeated, I googled boba tea near me, and Mimi's popped up. They were open, so we braved one-lane, construction, traffic, to go south on 7hwy to Mimi's. The parking seems unfortunate, but there is plenty around the back, so don't give up. Just pull around to the right of the building. There is also a door in back. Upon entering, the store appeared to be very, very, clean, and it smelled wonderful!! The counter area continued with the theme of neatness, and the menu was posted low enough for my daughter to easily examine. She made a couple of choices, and the friendly staff got going on them. One worker was setting up what seemed to be online orders, to-go. I double checked, and you can definitely order online, and pop in. We ordered one coconut milk with brown sugar bubbles, and one brown sugar, coconut, milk, with brown sugar bubbles. OMG! It's amazing! I was whisked back to my time in Asia right away! The flavor of both somehow managed to be very rich, yet very light and refreshing, on a very hot, humid, day. I am truly impressed! I seriously hope everyone will give them a try, because I very much want them to remain in our town! I am honestly speechless… I took a sip and immediately started this review. I got the strawberry milk slush with added cheese foam and blueberry popping bubbles. This tastes like an actual dessert. The slush portion is evenly blended, no big chunks of ice, the cheese foam is savory and smooth and balanced out the super sweet slush. Good amount of popping boba in the cup as well :). Hands down THE BEST boba I’ve ever had. Maybe even the best beverage I’ve ever had. I used to drive 45 minutes to my favorite boba spot that’s out in Kansas once a week. I drive past Mimis every day on my way to work and I am scared for my wallet.

Side note: THEY HAD A LIL HEART SHAPED STOPPER IN THE CUP (cups are thickkkk and great quality! I’m very clumsy. I greatly appreciate non-flimsy cups and the attention to detail. Honestly, you could probably wash it to reuse it) I ALMOST CRIED. SO CUTE. LOOK...

Delicious Boba!!! Me and my family just moved to Blue Springs from Atlanta, Georgia and we're really missing the huge selection of boba shops. Mimi Milk Tea has wonderfully soft and yummy boba, lots of flavors to choose from and friendly staff, plus a cute environment inside. I got the Caramel Macchiato, iced, with brown sugar boba. AMAZING!!! The price, quality and quantity of boba in the drink is perfect! I love this place and can't wait to come back. Unfortunately, I am leaving for University, but you better believe I'm coming here on breaks! I would totally recommend Mimi Milk Tea to anyone who loves or wants...
