My first class! This is a high intensity class, working muscles to fatigue with slow 4-count movements against resistance and your body weight. The instructor, Karynna, was great, class was quite fast paced, but when I was fumbling she took a few seconds to redirect me (much appreciated). Best way to get through class, and I'm guessing the expected way, is to watch the seasoned folks around you. She purposely placed me between 2 seasoned people. Karynna had great cues and was on point, quickly preparing us for the next set while completing our current set.
I've been doing classical pilates since 2015, lol, this is a distant cousin twice removed. It's Lagree. If you're looking to do straight classical or contemporary pilates, focusing on form, this ain't it. If you're looking to push your body, muscles, using pilates like equipment and some pilates movements and get that same mind-body connection that pilates requires, this is it. Enjoyed the class! Bring a towel and water, you'll be dripping.

Read moreAwful to their customers. This was my first time ever trying the studio and I was super excited because my out of state friends had talked about this company. I arrived within the time limit constraints and tried the door code to which the front desk staff let me in and they told me I missed the class cutoff and would need to pay and leave. They said they had a strict time policy. I explained my situation was circumstantial and out of my control. She said she understood and began to let me join the class. She confirmed my name then said I wasn’t registered and started getting angry that I was coming in and trying to take the class. I tried to tell her I had confirmation to which I was immediately told to leave due to their strict time policies, those same ones she was going to disregard a few seconds ago?? I politely told her I would take my business elsewhere and I was hollered at as I walked out the door to my car. So much for a “safe space” and “community”. Lol here’s my...
Read morei have been wanting to try pilates for a long time as someone who usually does weightlifting and other forms of cardio such as spin classes. ive heard of the solidcore franchise before so i called and booked a class and let them know it was my first time doing pilates. i got there early as requested so they could explain how it works but she didnt really explain much and almost seemed annoyed or bothered. she basically just told me to watch everyone else in the class and that i’d get the hang of it because i was “the only new person”. i had no clue what i was doing during the class because she didnt explain anything (while literally seeing me be visibly confused) and just expected me to know what i was doing and watch everyone else i guess. when i left, she didnt even say bye back or asked how the class was. not a pleasant or welcoming first experience compared to the countless other fitness classes i’ve tried. i wont be returning...
