Last night will be the last time our FANTASY FOOTBALL team ever comes back to this specific location. We have been going there for 13 years as a tradition to only be treated horrible the past two times. Last night was the last straw.
For 13 years we have reserved a FREE room, and typically book it from 6pm-10pm, enjoying great times with great people. We have actually been told by Hooters management they look forward to seeing us every year due to the entertainment we bring as a group.
We have never been told there was a time limit on reserving a FREE room, or felt that we had to leave but this changed last night. 2.5 hours into our live fantasy football draft, several hundreds of dollars in on food and drinks the manager comes in rudely and says we have 30 minutes to leave. In shock, we asked why? He said the room is only allowed to be used for 3 hours.
We asked if there was another group coming in at 9, if the waitress was cashing out, if the restaurant was closing, and many other things to try to understand why we had to leave at 9pm. We even asked how much it was to "extend a free room for one hour". His responses were pretty much shutting the night down at 9pm. That he has to clean the room, and it takes 2 hours to clean. He then just kinda walked away.
We then asked the waitress as she came back in if we have done something wrong, not ordered enough, and if she was cashing out? Her response was "no you have been great, and no I leave at 11pm, I just have to start cleaning at 10:15pm the latest.
Understand that we were told nobody had the room after us, every time the waitress ( which was very nice) came in we ordered food and drinks (10 of us). We were rather shocked. I would understand if were were being disrespectful, not ordering food, or they were closing but this was at 830pm and they close at (11pm).
We all felt confused so as a group we rushed the remaining rounds of our draft. Yes we ended up leaving the property at 9:45pm because the manager never came back.
We actually requested him to come back in several times after 9 but we were told "he was busy". Im sure he just wanted to avoid us which is sad.
We honestly feel bad for our waitress (she was great) because at 8:30pm when the manager was rude to us we kinda shut down the ordering of food and drinks, end of the day costing the waitress additional % in tips. Which EVERYTIME our waitress came in we ordered something, food or drinks. If I was the waitress I would be extremely upset with the manager costing me money for the room I was given.
At the end of the day, it's how you talk to people and how you approach your paid customers, and this manager was just highly unprofessional. Im sure our group had a total tab easily clearing $600-700
Also, understand that we were willing to pay for the room, we were never even given that option as we understand time is money. The level of class professionalism has went downhill over the years but the last 2 have been just straight up bad. It's just wild that people have forgotten how to treat people in the hospitality world.
Thank you to the "old" Hooters, and goodbye to the "new" Hooters. We will be moving forward in finding a new room that will happy take our money...
Read moreExtremely disappointing experience at the Boca Raton Hooters on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, between 3–4 PM. From the moment we received our food that didn’t have the right sauce, we received poor customer service. Our server, Peyton, was dismissive when we kindly asked to switch meals due to taste preferences. The first time she claimed it was the right sauce. The second time she gave unnecessary pushback and acted inconvenienced rather than offering a solution.
Service was slow after receiving our concerns. When I tried to get the attention of another nearby server, she ignored me completely. Peyton later told us servers only handle their own tables, which is unacceptable in any professional restaurant setting. Hospitality is about teamwork and helping guests, not passing blame or avoiding responsibility.
When I asked for additional sauce, it was dropped on the table without a word no eye contact, no courtesy, just passive-aggressive energy. After we finished eating, we had to wait an excessive amount of time to pay, while staff stood nearby chatting. It became obvious they were talking about us, making us feel judged and uncomfortable.
We approached the manager ourselves, hoping to be heard, but he was dismissive and seemed more interested in rushing us out than resolving the issue. What made matters worse was that he didn’t return our correct change he rounded it up without asking, as if to say, “Just leave.” That level of disrespect and lack of care from leadership was unacceptable.
At one point, I also began to feel an uncomfortable racial energy. As a person of color, I am sensitive to how subtle actions and attitudes can reflect deeper biases. The way we were ignored, spoken to with attitude, and treated differently from other nearby guests felt targeted. That added a whole new layer of disappointment.
Another alarming moment was witnessing a pregnant staff member exit the restroom without washing her hands. That is a serious hygiene concern in any food service environment and left us disturbed about the overall cleanliness and safety standards here.
This experience completely soured what was supposed to be a fun, peaceful stop during our vacation. I left feeling grieved not only by how we were treated but by the cold, prideful atmosphere within this location.
I investigates what’s happening at this location. Until major changes are made in service, leadership, and hygiene practices, I cannot recommend this Hooters to anyone. I truly hope upper management.
I pray this place experiences a shift— from cold and careless to kind and excellent. Lord, shift the atmosphere. Replace pride and laziness with grace and professionalism. Let every customer feel seen, respected, and safe. Touch the hearts of the staff and leadership so this location can reflect integrity, care, and warmth. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Read moreI never write reviews or answer surveys, but my experience last night was completely awful/unbelievable. I was sitting at the outside bar and just ordered my 1st beer. I was talking to another gentleman about the NFL Draft and asked the bartender if they were going to put the draft on the tvs with the volume instead of music. She said yes about the draft but that she would have to ask the manager about the volume. A few minutes later the manager came over and said that they would have it on but with no volume only music out side. I said that doesn't make sense this is a major event and its going to have no volume? The manager stated "No one wants to sit here and listen to people talk for 5 hours if you want to hear it you can go somewhere else." I said fine asked for my check and paid it. I had only ordered 1 beer so it was like $4 and I gave a $2 tip. At that point he left and I was finishing my beer talking to another guy at the bar when another man came up to the end of the bar with a drink in his hand and began staring at me. (I am assuming another manager) After a minute he said to me"Do you have a problem?" I said no I am leaving because you guys are not putting the volume on. At this point he begins to attempt to intimidate me. (he had a Russian accent) "Will you can get the f* out of here." I said wow where is this coming from I am not some drunk your trying to throw out I had a half a beer and asking about a TV. It escalated further to the point that I felt that there may be a physical altercation. I asked him his name and he stated " You don't need to know my name."I left at that point and went across the street to Prime Cigar where I had a great time watching the draft. To top it off when I left to go to my truck Hooters had the draft on with the volume way up. I have no idea why I was targeted or why the manager with the Russian accent approached me that way. I know if you ask these guys what happened they are going to say something like he was drunk or something like that. You have my name so you can pull my receipt and see I had 1 beer and you can check the cameras and see everything happen as I stated it. I plan on doing some reviews on Hooters this weekend on every platform I can find. Its a shame because I was a fan of your company especially since I am originally from Tampa and used to go to the original Clearwater location. I would suggest you get these guys some training before the Russian accent guy gets you into a lawsuit. Please contact me if you need any...
