January 25, 2024...This was my 5th time and, thanks to our waiter Tterb (Brett spelled backwards on his name badge) the evening was a 5. Starting with promptly served water and quickly taking our drink order, Brett handled our table in a very professional manner. He offered to take an appetizer order while we made our dinner selections. We ordered the BBQ shrimp Flatbread, which came in a timely fashion and was very good. Our meals having been ordered timely arrived minutes after we finished the Flatbread. The trout, Chilean sea bass, shrimp salad and shrimp and grits were all excellent. I ordered the chorizo sauce on the side, a wise decision. We ended our meals with three different mini desserts and a cappuccino. Brett gave us perfectly timed seamless service and helped make our dinner a "10". Thank you, Brett for your excellent service. Definitely we will be back
July 20, 2023... This is my 4th time and I will have to say it was the best, partially thanks to our EXCELLENT waiter, Justin. From the following 3 comments, you can see I had my share of problems. Up front I told Justin my concerns and he immediately came back suggesting putting the sauce on the side for my shrimp and grits. It made the difference from the last two visits, where the meal was smothered in sauce and too much chorizo and you could not even taste the shrimp or grits. Thank you Justin. The other 3 meals ordered were the trout, Chilean sea bass and the tuna crunch salad. All were "5"s.
August 2022...This was my 3rd time to Seasons 52 and I will have to say my rating has dropped from a 5 to 4 to now a 2. Had my first experience in October 2021. Was blown away, especially with the shrimp and grits, which allowed me to give it a 5bstar rating. Then returned in May 2022 and ordered the same dis and it was totally different again. The dish was smothered in a tomato sauce with chorizo, which over powered the shrimp and was very spicy.. Today, before I ordered, I explained to our waiter, Mark, how I expected it to come out. He said he wod explain to the kitchen (I had asked for Josh, but it was his night off). When the shrimp and grits cane out, it was smothered in chorizo and diced tomatoes, covering the entire dish and the gruts were pasty (overcooked and dry). I pushed the chorizo and tomatoes to the side of the plate and began eating it anyways, as my dear friend, who is older, was treating us and does not like a scene. Personal feeling, this dish went from a 10 to a 5 the second time to a 2 this time. My friend ordered a salad with pork and we both believe he git a salad with beef. His was just average he said. As I stated earlier, this is my third (and probably last visit). One excellent meal, my first time, one average meal, the second and no what I consider a disaster. My third and last time.
May 2022. This was my second visit to Seasons 52 (the hostess' favorite place. I had raved about the shrimp and grits and she and I ordered it. It was ni where near being like the first visit. Smothered in a tomato sauce with lots of chorizo. Very spicy and you could not even taste the shrimp or grits. Very disappointed. The other 4 people at the table were satisfied, but not myself or the hostess. I lowered my rating from a 10 to a 5. I did call Josh and told him about the disappointment and he removed them...
Read moreWow Wow Wow. I'm writing this review a few weeks after our visit to Seasons 52, and i can still remember the tastes and smells. I'm salivating just at the thought!
We have been to many nice restaurants, and many in our area of Boca-Raton have quite the hype, but have just fallen flat for us. They weren't terrible, but they weren't the incredible experience the buzz led us to believe they might be. This was NOT the case for Seasons. From start to finish, our experience here was one of the best dining experiences we've had in the country.
Our experience with the service was phenomenal, we'll leave it at that.
The atmosphere of the restaurant fell into that perfect Goldilocks-zone for us. The lighting not too dim, the noise not too loud, the furniture not too over-the-top. Just perfect class through-and-through.
The layout was very interesting, with a central open-kitchen concept. We had a view into the kitchen the whole time, though once the food came out neither of us was looking around, i assure you.
The drink suggestions from our waiter were perfect, informative but not pushy. He learned my tastes and knew just what to suggest to be a bit adventurous.
And the food, ugh the food, every single course was a treat. The appetizers were absolutely incredible (and were actually our favorite part). The entrees were scrumptious, and the deserts just right.
This was truly a dining "experience", with a menu focused on unique compositions that showed they weren't afraid to try new things, encouraging the diner to explore, as well as hitting the classics. I'm honestly still dreaming about the beet salad. The ingredients were fresh, but the restaurant didn't put itself into a box to fit a certain trope. From start to finish, every bite introduced us to something new, or a new way of preparation.
We tend to be a bit frugal when it comes to eating out, so when we do occasionally go to a "nicer" restaurant, we hope to walk away feeling like it was worth it. Seasons 52 gave us this feeling and so much more. It was not inexpensive by our standards, but it was one of those dining experiences where you feel so satisfied after the meal, that even as a thrifty person the cost does not even cross your mind, because whatever it may be, it still felt like a steal.
5 start across the board. An absolutely incredible experience.
Seriously though, what place can make you dream about going back for a...
Read moreI decided to try Seasons 52 after searching for a place that had reservations available. It was Valentine's Day, everywhere was fully booked. Seasons 52 had one table left at 3:30pm. Fine, an early dinner. I usually eat a lot, I saw that everything comes in under 595 calories, kinda scared me at first. The food was filling, without being too much, the portion sizes are actually perfect (even for me).The food photos I saw on Google maps looked good. I'm happy to say they taste even better than they look.
The chicken (and something, first one on the menu) flatbread was really good, I could have eaten a few more of them. But wanted to try other foods too.
The 8oz filet mignon was really good, tender, melts in your mouth. Probably one of my top places now for it. I ordered medium well, perfect amount of pink, good size piece. I don't really like mushrooms, but I ate them, they were so good, especially in the wine reduction sauce. The mashed potatoes were real, fresh, and perfectly seasoned, not much salt, and a good ratio of skins included. The french green beans were cooked perfectly, steamed just enough, to keep their crunch, had a great flavor. I did add a little salt to them, but that was my preference.
My girlfriend had the Maine lobster tail and filet mignon. The herbed butter that came on the steak was amazing. Fingerling potatoes were very tender. I don't eat seafood, but she said, it was one of the best lobster tails she has had.
The desert tray they brought by, I could have probably ate all of them. Shot glass size desserts. Perfect amount for a good taste, without leaving with diabetes or feeling too full. Very reasonably priced too. I tried the pecan pie one, very good, better than the real thing. My girlfriend also had the Oreo one, also very good, not overly sweet like some Oreo desserts can be.
Overall, as busy as they were, the service was pretty quick. The food came out in a reasonable time. Drinks were refilled as fast as I could drink them (I drink a lot of water). The waiter checked on us and kept us updated a reasonable amount of times without being too overbearing. I will definitely be back. It's been added to my rotation of favorite...
