Our daughter attended a one week visual arts camp here and had an amazing time. The teachers were so kind and accommodating, and were able to teach her new skills without crushing her spirit in terms of her own individual thoughts of art.
My daughter previously went to a private school in Southwest Florida and the art teacher at that school crushed her and multiple other students spirits because that teacher was so focused on teaching the skill that they lost the individuality and the joy of art.
We now homeschool our daughter for a multitude of reasons and have for several years and it’s been hard to bring back the joy of art into her life despite that. I am infinitely grateful that my daughter was able to go somewhere where her art was not only appreciated, but her individuality was also appreciated. She met other kids who were equally talented and kind.
I can’t recommend the summer camps more. We will continue to have her experience these camps. And we will be looking into getting more involved in other capacities...
Read moreWas there last for a tribute show to the music of salsa legend Celia Cruz. The place was set up with many tables for four guest and even a dance floor. We had lots of fun at this intimate venue. It does however have some room for improvement. The cocktail selection is very minimal; the servings are tiny yet $18. Have an actual playlist of music that would be popular to your audience to get them in a festive mood leading up to the show. But the real kicker on that topic is that mid way through the actual show, the tribute band took a break. So the venue just started playing the same album all over again. It’s the little things that matter. We will gladly return but please put an effort into...
Read moreI've been fortunate to see some of my favorite artists here...Appalachian Road Show, Paul Thorn, and most recently, Darrell Scott. I've felt blessed each time, as the crowd is small, and the area they perform is intimate. However, with Darrell Scott, I feel especially blessed, as this venue continued to reschedule, due to Covid, Darrell's performance. I was afraid it would be canceled. Finally, a date was secured, and my son and I got to see an artist he first met as a baby, at a music festival in Dade City. The Covid procedures were amazing, the crowd even more, and Darrell even better. Thank you for giving this mom time to bond with her teenage son. You gave us memories to last many lifetimes. :) I am proud to say, we both absolutely the Darrell Scott...
