The location is in the new building at the northeast corner of Bonita Beach Road & Old 41. Though the building is new and the outdoor seating was clean and modern, the interior is a comfortably funky vibe with lived in character. We phoned in call ahead seating but still had a 20min wait after check-in. A staff member walked out to apologize to us as we took a seat on the bench but, offered to play bartender and bring us drinks. That was greatly appreciated.

One of the first things I noticed was that wonderful smell of a wood stove. I’m mostly certain it was coming from The Bohemian, but if it was coming for the pizza shop next door it certainly wasn’t hurting the mood. The bar is located immediately at the entry and it should be noted that it’s beer & wine only and some mocktails. We were seated at a long bench in the corner of one of the rooms. I loved the vibe with Amy Winehouse, Mac Miller, and Thundercat tunes playing through the speakers.

We decided on one of the seafood towers for our starter. The oysters (Mama mias I believe) had smoky / barbecue-like mignonette pearls. Mixed crab and lobster jars were delicious as was the ceviche. The shrimp was standard fare and the crab legs were good. I thought I’d need a shell cracker for the crab legs but I made my way through them without just fine. The tower came with littleneck clams scattered throughout that didn’t do much for me. They were cooked perfectly but nothing that “popped” for flavor or surprise. This was a good seafood tower though, no fluff.

The rest of our meal consisted of several small plates. “The Goat & Rye” was points of rye bread covered in goat cheese, figs, pickled onions, pear, pistachios and hot honey. Excellent. Next up was “Chicken Chicharrones”, fried pieces both dark and white chicken and skins with a Bama sauce. These were excellent and a waiter stopped to give us chop sticks to eat them with… it was a more appropriate pace to scarf them down with the chopsticks. Next up were the plaintain and blackbean fritters with a mango chutney… you could convince me that these are savory donuts. Nice unexpected hint of cinnamon. These things will fill you up quickly.

Our neighboring table was ahead of pace so they got to dessert first. We saw them eyeballing our choices and we were checking out theirs. They ordered several desserts so we asked them which was their favorite and they suggested the Sous Vide coconut custard. Our wonderful waitress Chandler agreed and told us to try the sweet potato beignets the next time, but we’ll be getting the coconut custard this evening. At the very first bite my wife thought it tasted like a Butter Popcorn Jellybelly jellybean, lol. I disagreed with her before I had my first bite… can’t say I didn’t disagree with her BUT IT WAS GOOD. I really loved the texture of this and there were quite a few flavors going on… the torched grapefruit was *just the right amount of acid to pull it all together.

All in all… we had a great server, good wine, and thoroughly enjoyed the food and quirky ambiance. Take a visit and give it a shot, I highly recommend it.

PRO-TIP: There isn’t a ton of seating. This shows all signs of a new hotspot that will get slammed and it seems they are figuring out how to keep up with that & the wait. Put your name in and plan on doubling the wait time they say…. BUT GIVE THEM A BREAK, and walk 2 minutes down the street to Ceremony Brewing and wait it out in the AC over a few beers (or wine) at their bar. The Bohemian will text you when your...

I've had the pleasure of dining at The Bohemian Restaurant twice for dinner, and on both occasions, I was treated to an extraordinary and high-quality culinary experience.

The restaurant's interior exudes an intimate and modern charm, with a distinct bohemian touch. The art and décor perfectly capture the bohemian vibe, creating a fun, playful, and vibrant atmosphere. The cozy setting, with its limited tables, booths, and seating, allows guests to catch a glimpse of the central kitchen where the dedicated kitchen staff works their magic to prepare and plate the meals. It's truly a delight to witness the inner workings of such a well-orchestrated and inviting restaurant.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food. The Bohemian Restaurant impresses with its exceptional cuisine. The ingredients are noticeably fresh, of high quality, and expertly prepared. On both visits, I had the pleasure of dining with fellow amateur food enthusiasts, and together we sampled a variety of dishes from the menu. Without fail, every bite was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication. We left both occasions thoroughly pleased, impressed, and perhaps a little too content, especially considering the fantastic drink selections available.

The servers at The Bohemian Restaurant deserve special mention for their knowledge, easy-going demeanor, and lack of pretension. It's a genuine pleasure to dine in a restaurant where the staff takes pride in the food, its presentation, and the overall experience. The atmosphere encourages relaxation and invites guests to comfortably ask questions and engage in delightful conversations.

Of particular note are two standout items: the tomahawk steak and the seafood tower. We ordered both on each visit, and they were an absolute delight to share. The flavors and presentation were exceptional, further enhancing the overall dining experience.

On both occasions, there was a brief wait before being seated, but the vibrant energy of the bar area, outdoor seating, and indoor dining area made the time pass quickly. The atmosphere exudes a young, hip, and energetic vibe, with a fresh and artsy touch that adds to the overall appeal of the restaurant.

For those seeking more information, The Bohemian's website provides additional details about their culinary approach. They pride themselves on being a chef-driven kitchen, offering sharable-style selections with global influences and a strong focus on technique and quality. Locally sourced ingredients from neighboring farms and fishermen are expertly utilized, with rooftop organic garden herbs adding an extra touch of freshness. The menu reflects the season and changes frequently, ensuring a dynamic and ever-changing dining experience. It's clear that at The Bohemian, good food is meant to be shared and enjoyed.

In conclusion, I highly recommend The Bohemian Restaurant. Its exceptional food, relaxed atmosphere, and vibrant ambiance make for an unforgettable dining experience. I wholeheartedly plan to return and indulge in their culinary...

The Bohemian was wonderful. We had to adjust our 7 year anniversary plans last minute and they were able to get us in right away and it did not disappoint! The service was wonderful, the drinks were great and beautifully presented (pictured is just a sparkling water w/ lime juice as well as a precious visit where all we had were just drinks). And of course the food was great!! The burrata cheese was out of this world (my husband doesn’t really eat much cheese and he devoured this), the tuna crispy rice was very delicious, we also had the salmon and the bok choy which were also very good (though my personal preference are the other dishes mentioned), and to end the meal we went with the Smoked & Braised Short Rib 'Bánh Mi' which was THE BEST and enough to take home for dinner the following night after eating all of the other dishes. The way they combine flavors is so interesting and tasteful. I am also gluten free and they did a great job at suggesting items on the menu, and even had gluten free bread as an accompaniment to the burrata dish (as pictured). We are harsh critics, there are a lot of great restaurants in southwest florida, and this one is not to be missed—highly recommend. The only thing that would make it better is a different location, having 41 right there is why there was a deduction in atmosphere. We will be back!! :)

Eclectic, original and a little bit funky but not pretentious. We felt very welcome by all the staff who were fun and friendly. Manager Brittany offered us the coolest table just because we were eyeing it up, however the outdoor seating (and every other seat in the restaurant and bar area was pretty awesome looking as well). We tried some of the adventurous wine based cocktails which were surprising, fun and delicious. The shareables were different than the norm, beautifully presented and an exciting change from most restaurants in this area. We did have to google some of the ingredients but it was much easier to just ask the staff who were great at explaining. I didn’t think prices were out of line for the tasty combinations we ordered that were tapas style. Our waiter helped explain the way most people ordered. The clientele were a variety of age ranges and nice to see a place where there were younger people hanging out. We managed to fit a little dessert in as well which was again surprising and superb (Sweet Potato Beignets) but we couldn’t finish it all. Overall I’d say an outstanding addition to the up and coming downtown Bonita area that I’m proud to call home! Can’t wait to go back and try some more from the menu!
