I had an amazing experience at this card shop, and I can’t recommend it enough! Not only do they have a fantastic selection of products, but Highlander really stands out as a place where everyone is welcome. The staff are genuinely “real” people ; diligent, friendly, and always making sure that every customer feels respected and valued. I picked up two sets of sleeves in different colors, and I was impressed by the variety and quality, all at great prices (So many sleeves!). I also grabbed two sets of inner sleeves and couldn’t resist picking up a One Piece figurine set that’s perfect for my collection. They even had two singles that I had been looking for, which was a great bonus! I really think what really makes Highlander special is the sense of community. It's clear that the staff aren’t just there to sell; they’re there to build connections and create an inclusive space where everyone can enjoy their hobbies. It's refreshing to see a shop that stands for something more than just transactions. I’ll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend this place for both the great products and the wonderful atmosphere!

I played an online HeroClix tournament that Highlander ran. It was very fun and well organized. The product and prizes related to the event were well packaged when shipped out. Things took a little bit longer than expected to ship out, so they threw in extra product in the package. Great experience all around.

I love coming here for DnD on Tuesday nights! As long as you sign up on time, it's free to join and play!! DM's are great and players all range in experience. Thanks Scott for bringing the game community together!

As you make your way up to the door, the first thing you notice is the ornate stained glass designed windows that flank either side. Is this place a temple for these beings? Is it another art studio that specializes in such craftsmanship? Your curiosity gets the better of you and you examine the door more closely to reveal the word: Highlander. It invokes images of power, cleverness and the always fashionable tartan-print of kilts! You read the second word: Games. It invokes images of fun, laughter and memories of childhood. These words conflict, yet they create a fusion of harmony that you yearn to find out more about. So, you do what any wise explorer would do with such curiosity: you act upon it and delve further as you open the door.

Before you does indeed stand a place of worship, though not in a conventional sense. The walls are lined with tapestries and banners of more prominent figures and kingdoms. There are colorful portraits featuring strange landscapes, creatures and powerful individuals of great status. There are pews of cushioned steel and tables crafted of lacquered and stained wood where the acolytes perform strange cardboard rituals.

To your immediate right, there is a glass encased reliquary filled with valuable cardboard texts of all kinds: artifacts, spells, summons and more, that, if one were to offer the warden(s) behind the counter a charitable donation, one could certainly have such powerful knowledge for themselves. How does one protect such things? The warden(s) show you the assortment of plastic barriers forged in dragon’s fire, magic tomes covered in protective coating for your cardboard treasures and several other ways to transport your materials.

The shelves beyond the warden’s post are filled to the brim with colorful receptacles with strange names…what do they mean? What horrors can these hued cubes unleash?

Then, you notice the back wall of the temple is filled with more of these colored boxes, only this time: they seem to be filled with a more straightforward ability: to summon entire armies to fight for you. There are books that sit beside them: no doubt the strategies and notes of ancient generals that came before you. Will you raise one of your own and aim for glory? There is so much to see here, yet you are conflicted. Do you raise an army? Do you unleash the power of a box upon the shelves? Do you acquire something fron the reliquary?

The choice is yours.

This section is for those who have no idea what I’m blabbering about above:

Highlander Games offers trading card products such as Pokemon, Magic: the Gathering, Lorcana, Star Wars: Unlimited and Flesh and Blood as well as hosts regularly scheduled events featuring your favorite card games!

They also have a large assortment of board games, including a fully stocked board game lounge where you and anyone you bring will be welcome to spend time learning a new game or playing an old favorite before you buy it for yourself! On Thursdays, there is an open board game night in which you can be sure others who love board games will be present.

Fancy yourself a player of the wargaming scene? Highlander has an active group of Warhammer gamers who are happy to help new players get started and allow veteran players to join in the fun. There is a great assortment of Citadel brand paints and supplies as well as Duncan Roades Two Thin Coats paint available for those wishing to paint miniatures for Warhammer, DnD, tabletop games and more!

Speaking of DnD, Highlander has several active Dungeons and Dragons groups; though space in these groups is limited and they may not always be allowing new additions: but don’t let that stop you! If you’re looking for a place to host your own Dungeons and Dragons sessions, look no further! The store is happy to lend you a table and space for your glorious campaigns!

Highlander Games has an amazing and fun community of gamers from all walks of life and from various towns and cities from across the state! Even the staff at Highlander are gamers themselves! So, come on in and join...

This store hosts a variety of different events for so many different games. A great spot to pick up board games, heroclix, Magic The Gathering cards, and all of the Fantasy Flight Games line. They have multiple different playing areas to allow for multiple events at the same time. It's run by some great people and they do things very similarly to how I used to run things when I used to run a game store.

Parking can be difficult at times (Which has nothing to do with the store). There is a public parking lot directly next to the store that is metered, but it is almost always full when I've visited. There is metered parking on the street, but be prepared for a bit of a hike because of the hills in the area.

I would be here way more often if they were just a bit...
