Childs Gallery — Attraction in Boston

Childs Gallery is probably the best art gallery/antique shop in ALL of New England, not just in Massachusetts. Their only competition is from their neighbor and only rival, Brodney Antiques, a few doors down on Newbury Street. However, Brodney is only quantitatively superior. Qualitatively, Childs has an unmatched inventory of high quality museum-worthy paintings, sculptures and prints in the entire New England area.

The staff is very knowledgeable and highly professional. They also do their best to be very courteous and friendly. However, one can still feel a bit of uppityness in the sociality and culture of the gallery. Then, again, when you're #1, even the subtlest attitude is to be expected.
