Trinity Church is absolutely beautiful and historic on the on the inside and it is huge! The organist and the sound he made was incredible! Their Pastor was nice and presented a good message! It was hard to stand with my injury but I did it out of respect for my friend Greg who invited me and his awesome wife! I have known them both for a few years since Winter Walk! I highly value both their friendships! The sound coming from the organist was absolutely amazing! Think of the guy in phantom of the Opera playing the organ the way that he did! And you will have this guy at Trinity gospel style! It was quite an experience! The beautiful design and architecture is something to really behold on the inside of it! In my opinion it is an architectural masterpiece on the inside of it! Beautiful and breathtaking all-in-one! The ceiling is extremely high! My friend Greg had invited me to make sandwiches in 2022 I believe during Christmas season before in their downstairs and that's how I really knew about this place, and these sandwiches and snacks are made for a church called Boston Warm! And that's a place I'm more familiar as well, they have asked me to do music in their Christmas program about 4 years in a row! The volunteers at Trinity really have high respect from me because it takes a lot of work and passion to come together with others and make these sandwiches and snacks for the benefit of homeless people! They really are absolutely awesome and they get high respect from me! I used to be homeless myself but not in Boston! I got a rescue restart to the city from Indiana over 7 years ago and I've never looked back! I have nothing to do but good things to say about this church Ed...
Read moreTrinity Church is a Episcopal church and national landmark that makes for a very interesting place to see at Copley Square. Opening Hours for touring are 9-4.45pm (Monday - Saturday) and 11.15-5.45pm (Sundays).
Founded in 1733, what makes Trinity Church most impressive is the unique, Richardson Romanesque architectural style, which first made its mark with the construction of this church building (1872-1877).
The exterior of Trinity Church has a whimsical architecture quality to it, making use of rough stone, heavy arches, religious figures and a polychromy colour coordination. There are Romanesque, Victorian, Gothic and perhaps even fairytale like characteristics that make for a visually unique viewing of this church. The architecture is peculiar if nothing else.
The interior of the church is also impressive featuring beautiful glass stained windows, delicate wood carving pulpit and seating areas, attractive wall murals and gold gilded wall space behind the alter. Unfortunately, we found the lighting to be quite dim within the church, which makes it somewhat difficult to shoot with your camera. It was still very nice to see the interior of Trinity Church, even with the high entry fee.
In the end, not sure we would pay again to go into Trinity Church but we would certainly stop by Copley Square again to enjoy the interesting exterior appearance of the building. It is worth a look-see from the outside if you plan to be near Copley Square during your visit to Boston. Those who enjoy church visits will probably want to include this on your...
Read more(THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED ON AUGUST 12, 2018 By the Priest officiating that Sunday) I have visited this church over the past couple of months. This is a Spiritually dead church with very strong racist overtones eminating from several of its “priests”. This church makes strong claims of being inclusive yet this couldn’t be further from the truth. That Boston racism that huants the city has found its way into the doors of Trinity Church. Furthermore, the “priests”of Trinity Church are quite skilled at promoting an air of diversity and inclusion however it is quite clear that the real agenda is to maintain the flow of tourists for the sake of dollars. I have had two experiences at the end of services where 2 priests in particular refused to shake my hand by putting their hands together as I walked out. Mind you, the shook the hands of White visitors as they filed out. ADVICE: If you are Black, steer clear of Trinity Church. You are not welcomed there. Based on my experiences as a repeat visitor, I can finally understand why the Catholic Church is under fire worldwide for pedofilia, racism, etc. Negroes are not welcome at Trinity. However, the will accept “donations” from Blacks but will not shake your hand after service as to exemplify their disdain for the Black community. If you are Black, again, STEER CLEAR OF Trinity Church in downtown Boston. It is a business run by capitalist hypocritical and...
