Fitness Compound is a facility like no other.
Iâve been lifting for many years, although I still put myself firmly in the âaspiringâ category. Iâve lived in many places around the world, and been a member of many more gyms - in my experience they fall into one of a few categories:
âNew Year Resolution Gymsâ - shiny looking equipment thatâs of limited practical use, members that donât know what theyâre doing, limited capacity for heavier / focused lifting, âtrainersâ that saw some youtube videos once and deemed themselves professionals âBro Gymsâ - places that always make me feel like Iâm back in high-school, and subjected to arrogant lifters whose sole goal is to make the rest of us feel âless thanâ. Usually pretty well equipped, but itâs hard to get near the benches and squat racks because of the sea of cameras on tripods, gym bags, and people too busy checking themselves out in the mirror to finish their sets. Trainers at these gyms look down on you unless you bench over 325lbs, squat 500lbs for warmups, and can count at least 6 abs through your skin-tight shirt âClassic Gymsâ - Approachable, but feel like theyâre stocked from a series of craigslist ads over the past 40 years. Lean more towards free weights, which is fine, and the expectation that you already know what youâre doing. Itâs a hunt-and-gather exercise to collect enough plates to train, and a lot of waiting for core equipment.
Fitness Compound smashes the stereotypes. Itâs incredibly well equipped, and clearly targets people that are serious about their training. However, everyone from the leadership team through to the members are really friendly, approachable, and inspirational vs intimidating. Youâll feel at home here if youâre just starting out (but committed to success) or if youâre an IFBB Pro. Itâs clear the core team know what theyâre doing, but theyâre committed to not only the success of every member but also making them feel part of the community Fitness Compound is working hard to establish.
I drive 40 minutes each way to train at this gym - and itâs...
Read moreI was searching for a gym near me with experienced trainers, especially since I was starting from a place of being quite out of shape. When I first saw Fitness Compound, I'll admit, I was a bit intimidated. It looked like a haven for serious bodybuilders, and I wasn't sure I'd fit in. However, my search for a trainer led me to Renovation Fitness (RNVTN Fitness), a husband-and-wife team whose philosophy resonated with me. They were enthusiastic about working with someone at my fitness level, and the best part? They train exclusively at Fitness Compound!
Intrigued, I came in to meet Jordan, and I'm so glad I did. Yes, the gym is filled with dedicated athletes, but it's also incredibly welcoming. The equipment is top-notch, the space is always clean, and everyone I've encountered has been friendly and supportive. The focused atmosphere is actually motivating â seeing others train hard inspires me to push myself.
After just a couple of months working with Jordan, I've already noticed significant strength gains and have started losing weight. Jordan's coaching has been invaluable, teaching me proper form and pushing me to achieve more than I thought possible. While I may not be aiming for bodybuilding levels, I'm now realizing how much stronger and healthier I can become. I'm excited about the possibilities and the ability to live a more active, fulfilling life.
Whether you're looking for a personal trainer or want to work out independently, Fitness Compound has something for everyone. I highly recommend investing in a trainer â the knowledge and guidance I've received from Jordan have been transformative. I'm learning so much about proper technique and pushing past my limits.
If you're looking for a serious gym with a supportive community, Fitness Compound is it. Don't let the "bodybuilder vibe" intimidate you â it's a welcoming space for anyone committed to their fitness journey. Huge thanks to everyone at Fitness Compound and especially Jordan! You've helped me start a journey to...
Read moreThis gym is an absolute joke.
Iâve been a paying member since the very beginning, but apparently loyalty means nothing here. Theyâd rather squeeze money out of people with unfair charges than value long-term members. Imagine being charged for promoting a gym â sounds crazy, but thatâs exactly what happened lol
Hereâs the story: Iâve been a loyal client since this gym opened. A few days ago, I came in the evening to work out. I came alone, trained alone, and when I was about to leave, my friend came to pick me up. She asked if I could show her the gym since she was looking for one to join, and I thought it would be great if she signed up and trained with me here.
We walked back in together, I gave her a quick 5-minute tour, and we both left. Thatâs it. The cameras clearly show this, and management could confirm that. Still, the very next day, I was slapped with a $300 âtailgatingâ fine. For what lmao?
For literally showing a potential new client around. My friend didnât even touch a single piece of equipment đ.
I explained the situation, thinking they would review it reasonably, cause i believe that each incident should be reviewed individually, considering all the circumstances. But they didnât care. They just wanted the money.
This is NOT A CLIENT-FRIENDLY gym. They donât care about loyalty, fairness, or respect
If this is how they handle honest mistakes made with good intentions, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of gyms that actually value their members and treat them...
