I truly had an amazing experience using Flightlinez on my recent trip to Vegas! At first, my booking was cancelled because they need at least a minimum of four people to book. I got an email the morning of my booking saying three people booked overnight and that my trip was back on!
First of, if you're coming from Vegas, Flightlinez will pick you up at the Excalibur hotel an hour before your scheduled time. The pick-up at the Excalibur is located at the Rotunda, which is towards the back of the hotel. You can't miss their shuttle as it's fully decked out with their logo. 'Scuba' Steve was the one who picked me up. I really enjoyed hearing his stories of things he's seen driving along the strip and the people he's picked up in the past. He's got tattoos all over his arms, so we talked about that as well.
When I arrived, I signed the waiver and they have lockers with locks/keys to put your personal belongings in. You can bring your cell phones (as I would recommend because the views are awesome) as the harness you wear have a small zip-up pouch on the back to store it. I put mine in my pocket and it was fine. Then I met the crew that was taking us out: Saxon, Vincent, Kenna and our photographer James. They took us into the room to gear us up and went over safety rules and went over what to do during our zip down. At first, they explained it a little quick, but they'll go over everything before each run.
We then packed into the bus and made our way up to the first run. The bus ride was about 20-30 minutes, but the crew made it highly entertaining giving us a 'tour' on the way up. Once we arrived, there's a hike to the first drop. It seemed like a 15-20 minute hike depending on who else is with you. Also, you may have to carry your own equipment on your shoulder, which was probably like 20 pounds? They will carry it for you, but it help them out a lot if you carried your own. BE SURE to wear proper shoes/hiking shoes as the first hike was going up and walking over some big rocks while carrying your equipment. They take breaks in between and they always have plenty of water.
Each run was amazing! Like I said before, they will go over when to break and what to do before they release you. The harnesses were quite comfortable because you're sitting. The 4 zip lines are pretty close together, so it was only a short walk to the next one. However, after the third zip line, we were asked to help carry the equipment to the 4th zip line which was up some steep stairs.
Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Flightlinez! If you like zip lining down Fremont Street, you must venture out of Vegas and go here. The crew that took us out was the best. The staff at Flightlinez were all entertaining, knowledgeable, hilarious and enjoyable to hang around with. They are like family, constantly joking around, laughing and making the guests feel as comfortable as possible. I definitely plan on coming back next year and booking a night tour. Thank you to the staff and crew for one amazing and memorable experience! I used my GoPro for the trip, they have helmet mounts and chest mounts...

Unfortunately it was fairly windy, the groups following us had to be canceled. Ours was borderline on being canceled.
The problem with the wind that day is it would slow you down a lot. To the point where on the long run every single rider got stuck at the end and the workers had to come out and rescue us. Which meant for them is they had to clip to the line and manually pull themselves out to us, and then attach to two of us with tethers and pull us back in. Which was very difficult work for them. But they were joking the whole time. I am just glad we didn't have to cancel, because we were leaving Vegas that evening and couldn't reschedule.
They crew was great all around always joking, but when it came to safety they were very clear and direct and helpful.
I rented one of their "GO-PRO" cameras, they would always make sure it was on and taping before each run, since it was mounted to my helmet and I couldn't see anything. Before you pay for the rental at the end of the day they go through to make sure it worked. For some reason the SD card adapter didn't want to read the Micro card. But they got it working. Unfortunately there were some problems with mine, the following day when I got home I found that I was missing footage from my last run. Not sure if the battery died, the file got corrupted or maybe it didn't start to film. I contacted their offices and John checked to make sure the files hadn't gotten copied to their computer and not to my card (Which they hadn't ); ...) But they offered to refund me half of the rental fee. Which is very fair since it did work for most of my run.
Overall I will definitely zip here and again and would refer anybody I know that travels to Vegas to take the time out of their...
Read moreTreated myself to this adventure for my birthday! I highly recommend this experience! Since I'm a local, I got a discount and drove myself to Boulder City instead of catching a shuttle. The staff is super cool and these are the funniest tour guides I've ever met! I had no idea what to expect, so I was relieved that they had a simulation and training at their base before we set out. They entertained us with a brief "history" of the Wild West on our van ride and short hike to the ziplines. I laughed harder during this excursion than I had in a long time. The guides kept us informed and made us feel safe and secure the whole time. There's nothing to fear! They were also in constant contact with base, so when we saw a storm threatening while we were at the top of one of the last platforms, they knew how much time we had to safely complete our course and get back.
(Please make sure to check age and weight restrictions before planning your trip so you won't be disappointed! I heard that 2 members of our group were not able to join us for these reasons. Also, if occasional storms are approaching, you don't want to be in a canyon, on a platform or zip line, surrounded by "strikable" conductors. The group scheduled after mine couldn't go because of lightning. As disappointing as this may be for some, I was glad that this company doesn't sacrifice safety...
