It was very clean. We got a couple massage for an anniversary and they gave some great amenities with the service the tub soak was great. The massages though… I was fine with mine. Give it a solid 7.2 out of 10 (above average but not the best I’ve had) but my wife hated hers. Normally a spa asks if you want male or female masseuse. They didn’t when I made the appointment and honestly I forgot to ask as well. But we had two males with mine no issue he had good pressure and did a good job. My wife though felt super uncomfortable, she specifically said her upper back shoulders neck were the issue. And she felt like he spent little to no time there but about half the time on her butt and upper thighs. We have had multiple massages from multiple spas and she shared she has never had a more uncomfortable experience and no massage spent as much time on her butt as much as this one did. I can’t remember the guys name but needless to say we won’t be going back. Just felt a little… Pervy. Which is not the vibe you want when going to treat yo self. It was also really expensive, like no issue paying top dollar for a top dollar treatment. But… this one wasn’t top treatment. I believe it was a little over $500 after the tip. I think it was a 90 minute treatment… so pricey. But because it was so clean and honestly I imagine other services or even just having a female massage therapist for her would have made it better. I’m not going to go 1 star. If I just had my own experience id go 3-4 stars, just a little over priced imo.
Edit to owners reply: I didn’t discuss this with the spa ownership at the time because I wasn’t aware of it until driving home. I didn’t post about it until a couple months later because it was my anniversary the day of and it slipped my mind until I ended up driving past it again the day I did post the review. And “Pervy” might not have been the right choice of words. I guess maybe I should say the guy was completely unprofessional and used his position as a masseuse to grope my wife. Because her words to me “I’ve never felt so uncomfortable I can’t believe we just spent that much money for me to get groped by some guy for 90 minutes” If you know we went in June then I’m sure you also know who we had and maybe you could spend some time with him to reevaluate his...
Read moreI've been to sego Lily multiple times and always had a good experience, but Unfortunately this visit didn't go as well as my previous visits, the masseuse was very nice despite having hands that were very cold, I wish she had asked where my stress points were because I didn't want to tell her what to do and I wanted to trust that she would be able to tell where the knots were, when she was doing the cranial portion I honestly didn't feel anything and I thought she had walked away and left me so I opened my eyes and saw that she was still there and I am very confused as to what happened in those moments because I left with a ring mark across my forehead, which has never happened in previous times coming in and having this same massage done, so unfortunately I left feeling just as tight and stressed as I did when I came in, which is my own fault for not speaking up and expressing that I needed focus in certain areas. she did end up hurting my wrist at some point in the massage and it didn't hurt until the next day, and I was sore to the point where I had a hard time moving my hand and had to wear a splint off and on for a week. I drank plenty of water and only had soreness in my left arm immediately after the massage but after stretching it the pain went away. It was very loud in the hallway thanks to employees this last time compared to previous visits and unfortunately I don't feel like this massage was worth the $110 my boyfriend spent plus tip. My boyfriend buys me this gift every year for the last five years and I always get the Sego Lilly Sampler to treat myself when I need it the most and after this last visit I left feeling hardly relaxed and I don't know that I will be coming Back...
Read moreI scheduled an 80 minute $325 Platinum hydra facial, super excited about it as I hadn’t had a facial in years. So I arrive at Sego (everyone is friendly) before my scheduled time with plenty of time to spare as I don’t want to miss any time of my precious 80 minutes (seeing as it’s $325). I make myself at home in the waiting area, and I’m obviously early, I wait… and about 10 mins or so go by and no one picks me up. Finally someone scoops me up. I don’t get situated for another 3-5 mins, the esthetician does her thing, and it’s over. I get up and grab my belongings, check the time and it’s only been about an hour give or take.
I talk to the manager, because I feel like I didn’t receive the full allotted 80 minute window and she says that the 80 minutes means “UP TO”. That’s a first.
So…. I guess I pay for time unused as well? (Does this mean i can offer a service for 60 mins, utilize 20 of it and claim ‘up to 60 mins’ all while making the customer pay for 60?).
Anyway, I’ve been to other spas offering similar services and I’ve always been in the room for the entirety of the advertised time. They may go over or under a minute or so but never more than 5 mins (and I always get into my room at my SCHEDULED TIME). All that I left with was leaving a 15 % tip instead of their pre-configured 20% (that you can adjust). Yay.
I just think they should include in their description that you may or may not get the full X amount of time, and you’ll still have to...
