I called with a simple problem. I bought pants from JC Penny in South Jordan and they forgot to take the ink tag off. There is no JC Penny in the area so I called Ross here in Bountiful and a lady on the phone said that they would be happy to help as long as I showed proof of purchase.
Now I get it that it is my fault, and it is something between JC Penny and myself. This is a simple opportunity for Ross to show customer service which they failed miserably at. On the phone they told me to come on by and it wouldn't be a problem. You, guessed it, there was a problem.
Came to the store, cashier just looked at me like I was crazy, and said it's against their policy. I told her I called in already and was informed it was fine. She radio her manager and the manger didn't want to come out of her office and just told the cashier that it was against their policy. I said I wanted to speak to the manager. I waited, manager wouldn't come out. I asked again to talk to the manager, still had to wait. Finally Ashley, who was not the store manager came out and was extremely rude. She just shrugged her shoulders and said I don't know who you talked to and our device probably wouldn't fit anyways.
I walk over next door to TJ Maxx and they were extremely helpful. They went above and beyond just trying to help me in anyway they could. I understand Ross is not Norstrom or anything but either is TJ Maxx! Why is TJ Maxx a thousand times more helpful and care about the people who walk into their stores. If I was any employee at Ross, I would be...
Read moreI would not even give this place a star but it seems to be required to leave a review I went in there yesterday afternoon and received the worst customer service the manager Shannon was working a till up front had a piss poor additude and was very rude I stood in line for about five minutes and she asks me if I have a return and I said no I'm purchasing she then says well you need to get in the other line Very rudely. After waiting about an additional ten minutes the guy from customer service says next in line so some lady from off the side goes and cuts in line as I'm walking over to register he sees me coming and doesn't bother to say anything to the lady letting her know others are in line ahead of her So then this Shannon rings me up and has real bad additude with me and my friend I asked her if I get a manager and she said I am the boss so I then asked if I could get a corporate number she then tells me I'm clearly busy your gonna have to wait. I left because I was a little pissed by this point I spend a lot of money at Ross and other stores for clothes for needy people I will never step foot in this location again. They clearly make enough money and won't go broke not having mine but in time maybe others will feel the same as they deserve respect and...
Read moreI’ve been going to this Ross for over 10 years and hadn’t had bad customer service until today. When I walked in Ally asked me if I had a return and i told her I was going to exchange. She told me she couldn’t hold the shirt for me and then told me I needed the receipt or it would be at the new price (if it was marked down) I told her that was fine but if she could tell me the price because I forgot my wallet at home. She made this look like it was a hard request and then after I came back with my new item there were now two cashiers and I still had to wait for two people who had been in line after me just so they could attend me at a certain register... once she was ringing it up she told me I needed my ID. I had just told her I left my wallet! And she made me wait to check the price until after I tried on multiple items and waited in line for those other customers. No smile, no apology and no concern for my time. Ally was...
