Cupbop - Korean BBQ in a Cup — Restaurant in Bountiful

For context, we went through the drive through. I’ve been to another franchise location in the past where the ingredients were separated rather than layered, so when you get to the bottom you’re not just eating rice. We mixed our bowls to fix the ratio and hoping to find veggies and cabbage but found none.

The rice was dry and somewhat hard. We had to chew more than usually to eat it. The noodles and meat tasted great, but they didn’t include any vegetables. We were handed the wrong order and the employee walked away before we could ask them to take it back. We couldn’t wave anyone down because they had returned to the back. Guessing that it might be the car in front of us I stepped out and talked to the idling car in front of us. Turns out it was the other customer’s order. The employees said it was pretty busy, so they gave us a small bowl of mondos in the bag “for the wait.” While it was a nice gesture, neither of us can digest fried food, we get really sick (Hense why we didn’t order any fried food). That’s why we ordered barbecue chicken and beef. When we got home and opened the containers we found the vegetables completed missing from both bowls, and our combo bowl only had a little bit of chicken, and the rest was a gratuitous pile of beef. Having what we ordered made with the correct ingredients would have made the experience less disappointing. I’ll assume that busy = mistakes...

This was my second time going to Cupbop, and I can't wait to go again! I am new to this place so I appreciate that they patiently explained the menu to me with a smile. The staff is great! The food is wonderful. This time I had the Katsu chicken and my husband had piggybop. I got just the Katsu chicken not the bowl and they gave me alot! and it was delicious! I got the number 4 sauce, but then tasted my husband's number 8 sauce and liked that even better, and so I got a little side of the #8 sauce to dip my chicken in. I had the Mandoo too, so delicious, kind of like an egg roll. My husband loved the piggybop, and I loved tasting his piggybop too. Last time I had one of the fish shaped ice creams, and I really liked that too. Everything was yum yum yum!!! I am excited to try everything...

Ordered drive-thru. Asked for less mayo. Got home. My order had EXTRA mayo. lol Tried to remove the excess but the whole thing was drenched so I drove back to get a new cup. This was not the problem. I understand that mistakes happen.

However, when I returned home to dig into my new order, now it was swimming in this sweet teriyaki-like sauce. I also barely had any rice. The amount in the pic is pretty much all that I got after I removed the noodles on top. PLUS, the rice was undercooked... I couldn't even finish my meal coz I didn't want to break my teeth. ^^;

I've never had an issue like this before. And after seeing all the recent low reviews, I think this location needs some serious quality-control. Servers were nice. Just the food. Unfortunately, I prob won't be back for...
