me and my husband was there getting food and he wanted ear buds bc they was on sale from labor day so he didn’t know what kind to get so I sat in the floor and keep in mind it wasn’t at one of the busy hours, it was literally 10pm or 11pm, basically right before they closed it wasn’t labor day it was like the day after or 2 days after labor day, anyways I was setting in the floor while he was looking them up and seeing what he liked best and the shelf they was on was like around waist high so insisted of us/me bending over the whole time I set down and as soon as he found the right one he went to ask for help bc they was locked in a box and right when we got up to ask for help, some man came idk if he was a worker or a manager and he said someone told on whoever was setting in the floor and he came to tell who it was to get up, and he asked if we saw them in the floor and we said no it was me and he just stood there looking at us and didn’t say a word, then my husband said what he wanted and we sat there waiting for someone to open the box and they never came we got tired of waiting so we left, and went to walmart instead and good thing we did they was probably a 20 dollar difference. if they need people to wear a suit and tie they need to just say that. also like i said keep in mind it wasn’t a holiday or a busy hour, i could forsure understand if it was either of those options but it wasn’t, barely anyone was even in the parking lot, there was more employees then there was shoppers. and it wasn’t like we was causing a problem or in the middle of the isle or anything I was on the side and we didn’t see anyone by us the whole time. and if someone needed to get by they could i was against the shelf the cart was taking up more room then i was and the isle could fit 1 or 2 more carts besides ours, or if they wanted to get something where we was at i would forsure move that’s not a problem at all, they make it seem like i was super glued to the ground like no i’d move but no one was even there. this was the 2nd time they have came for us in the past 2 times we went there, we literally do nothing wrong, we get our stuff and get out, they hate to see us coming i feel like. idk why they have such a problem with us. we stopped shopping there lets...
Read moreI had looked online of a blanket I liked and saw this store had it in stock. I drove the 45 minutes it took to get there. Looked through the store and could not find it. I went to the service desk and the girl looked it up and saw yes, it was in stock. She called for a department associate to help me look for it. To no avail. He said he would look in the backroom and be right back. I waited and waited and waited. I finally found him with a U-boat ready to distribute stock for a completely different department ! . I was puzzled. What about the fact you were waiting on me and looking for the product and was going to be right back ???? I approached him and asked what did he find if anything ? He replied, Oh, yeah, I didn't find anything in the back ! I said the Meijer app says it's in stock. Why would it say it's in stock when it's not ? He replied back, I don't know, but have a nice day. I've been dismissed by a 20something who doesn't have a clue what customer service is about. At least act like you cared that you could not or would not help me. My daughter found it online at her Meijer in stock. She went to get it for me. She couldn't find it either when she looked up and down the aisles. She asked for help and they couldn't find it either. I give up on their app and their...
Read moreFor the most part my experiences at Meijer have been positive. However, I have went to the meat, seafood department, and watched 2 employees talk and joke behind the double doors. I waited in excess of 5 minutes. Actually shopped and the returned to the area to see others still waiting. Fi.nally got disgusted, and shoved my cart full of items in front of the double doors. Walked out and went to Kroger. Told the greeter at the door what the problem was. I have since went back, but will NOT HESITATE to walk out again under simar circumstances. I have been shopping at Aldi, and IGA stores more since this has happened. Meijers needs to pay their employees more and treat them right to get employees to stay. I have also noticed that the Good people no who work there don't stay long, always find another job in retail that pays more. I worked @ Kroger years ago, when it was a good place to work. Now I work at the Corvette plant in Bowling Green Kentucky, making a 6 figure salary. If these retailers want to keep good people, and keep them, they need to treat them right, and put there $$$ where there mouth is. The good employees always leave for a better paying job. Those are my opinions!!!!! Take it for...
