Michaels — Attraction in Bowling Green

Actively we sought out this Michaels to help put back together a necklace a friend handmade for me for Christmas. She was able to get a mini-set of pliers for 8 bucks in 3 different sizes. We also were able to peruse the beading aisle.

This Michaels is located off Scottsdale Road down about a couple of miles from Exit 22 off Interstate Highway 65. The road to use is called Gary Farm Blvd and it is on the left after a car dealership. You can also access it from another route.

Michaels has all kinds of DIY crafts and tools, including for baking or painting or drawing or making of knitted or crocheted items. Its also good for Scrapbooking and they have a frames section where you may either purchase one outright or have them perform the framing for you. If you look in the paper or online you can get details on their 60 and 70% off deals for framing.

A load of stickers and teacher friendly objects may also be obtained there. Highly recommend a Gift Certificate for your favorite...

'Tis the season!! No! Not Christmas!! The $10 Clearance boxes were out for the end of summer merchandise at our local Michaels! First of all, the staff at this Michaels is so great! Friendly, helpful and creative. If you're unaware of the Clearance boxes (not sure of the official name-that's what I call them) they are put out a few times a year and while the items inside the unmarked brown boxes are random they often include leftovers from the last season and stuff that didnt sell in the clearance aisle. We ended up getting two boxes and both were filled to the top with fun items!! A t-shirt, some wax melts, a lot of summer decor, more summer decor, a few awesome candles, hair accessories, a few wreaths and a bunch more stuff. Both boxes were definitely worth way...

I appreciate that Michael's offers things that other craft stores in the area don't. However, the aisles are so narrow, two carts can barely pass each other. The store is well organized with great variety, but it feels cluttered. It also runs higher than other craft stores, so watch for sales and coupons. The staff is pleasant, which is always a big plus for me. They have some great Christmas sales going...
