If I could have given 0 stars I would have because Frantz and Peter does not deserve any stars. From the first time that we went in the store to purchase our groomsmen suits Frantz(the owner) had the worst attitude. Instead of listening to what we wanted he was too busy telling us what he thought we should get. We ignored that first encounter ( bad decision) and continued using their services. Their suits looked amazing so we figured if we got through the hurdle of dealing with their customer service we would be fine. Now comes the part of giving them the sizes. He had a female assistant there that we were also dealing with and she directed us to give her all the sizes, in which my husband gave to her directly from men’s warehouse system where the guys got measured. 3 out of the 7 guys went and got measured with Frantz, so he had the exact measurements. Frantz said it was ok for the other 4 to get measured else where because they lived out of town. So that’s how we decided on men’s warehouse. A week before the wedding the groomsmen tried their suits on and none of them were fitting. They were all too small. By the time the groomsmen went to try their suits on we were no longer dealing with Frantz , because he went to open up his store in Atlanta, we were dealing with Peter (his brother). I don’t know if Peter was not debriefed on our event and information but when we got their he was clueless and on top of that very rude. He told one of our best men that asked for a regular cut suit that a “regular cut and slim fit cut were the same”. How does that even make sense? He couldn’t lift his arms much less move it and his pants were too tight. After sitting there for 5 minutes going back and forth with Peter that this is not the right fit or what we asked for he decide to alter it smh. Two of my groomsmen entire suit could not fit at all. For one of them Frantz put the wrong size in the system so they ordered the wrong size and the other they gave his suit away to a client that had a previous wedding. Mind you that our original wedding date was in March but the pandemic caused us to postpone till June. So what previous wedding did you give his suit away to and if you gave it away why didn’t you replace it before the time to pick it up. Although those faults were on rich men looks Peter continued to argue and refused to fix THEIR mistake. Now it is the week of our wedding and one best man suit is still not at the shop because they gave it to another client and the other best man suit was still not fitting correctly because Peter was still insisting on slim fit instead of regular cut. 2 of our groomsmen shirts were not fitting so they had to run to Walmart the day of the wedding to get a shirt to wear even though we gave them exact sizes. The groomsman whose size they put in wrong couldn’t even wear the suit the day of the wedding. He had to go and purchase another suit from express to wear the day of. Another one of our groomsman was simply told they were unable to make his suit because of his height and size even though he was initially told they could do it. This forced him to find a suit in another store. There are so many more negative incidents and impacts that this company has caused us but it is just simply too many to write. The bottom line is that Peter is clueless about what he is doing and has very poor customer service and is incompetent to run the store in Boca. He made this process so difficult for us and nearly ruined our day. I pray as a black/ minority business you guys take heed to these reviews to better your company. We chose you guys to support our own people and sad to say you guys have disappointed us and...
Read moreI never leave reviews because I expect excellent service no matter where you go, but this is an exception. From the beginning this experience was sub par. I chose RichMenLooks to support a black owned small business. I was highly impressed with there business concept that for the price that you rent at a big time chain you can own at their store. I found this concept amazing for my wedding and my groomsmen voted a yes on trying it out. My first experience walking into the store was bittersweet. I dealt with the owner Frantz, he was rude and judgmental from the start. I didn’t think much of it because I thought he was having a bad day, but I should have taken the hint and left and never came back. I stayed and booked for my wedding because my groomsmen already made up their minds to try them out.
During my second visit for the fitting for 3/7 individuals in my party, Frantz attitude was better than before so that made me feel more comfortable. The remaining of my party had to get measured by a tailor in their hometown seeing that they were far from the Richmenlooks’s location. I also tried to get my suit from RichMenLooks, but their inventory and selections were modest. So I had to get my suit from another vendor.
As time went by, all of my groomsmen sent in their sizes and made payments and it was time to pick up the suits but the pandemic happened. So we had to postpone for 3 months. When it was actually time to pick up the suits. We were greeted by a new individual by the name of Peter ( the new manager seeing that Frantz went to open a new store in Atlanta, Georgia). Peter was clearly not briefed on our wedding because he looked clueless from the start. All of my groomsmen suit did not fit in one way or another due to them being tight and one of the suits was given to a previous wedding; which from the previous reviews I am starting to think this is a common business practice for them.
At this point in time, I was extremely upset due to my wedding being less than one week away. Peter was clearly no help because instead fixing their mistake he wanted to argue which I refuse to do.
As a result, all of the suits didn’t fit, 2 grooms men’s had to purchase new suits from other stores the day of the wedding, and 2 had to buy new shirts from Walmart the day of the wedding. There were many other issues to state, but it it is clear to see that they need to revisit their business practices. Also that Peter is unfit to manage a store in which he constantly portrays that he has no expertise in. If it was possible I would give no star because they almost ruined my...
Read moreI did not appreciate my first experience at this store at all. The manager was extremely rude and judgmental and gave me a look like I didn’t belong in the store from the beginning and treated me as such the entire time. I felt SO uncomfortable as if I was a burden and I was there to support this business.
As black owned businesses begin to thrive, it’s important to uphold the same level of customer service that we get from big departments like Nordstrom and the likes. We are supporting you because we want to, not because we need to. We should be excellent across the board.
I’m extremely disappointed as I was genuinely excited to support. Someone should be working there that is excited, approachable and enthusiastic to create looks for their customers. That would have done wonders! I went in there with $600 and left with the same amount after...
