Today 9/17/25 I go to buy juice for the house. At the register theirs two employees talking to a woman about a product at register 2. I ask Talan who’s working register one if he was open, he says yes card only. I load up my juice, and wait for him to finish talking with the female customer. Meanwhile the other employee decide to arrange stuff behind the counter. After about 3 minutes, I ask could you please ring me up. He says you need to be patient, I responded I just want to pay for my items and go. Finally after another minute or so he starts to ring me up. He switched the machine so he could swipe my healthcare card but didn’t switch it back so I could pay the balance with my debit card, but after fumbling with it I get it to work. He and I had a few words. Him telling me to be patient he’s helping someone, then I ask for his name because he was being rude to me just because I want to checkout, I’m like just do your job, that’s it. He’s I’m not telling you my name and I don’t care what you do. So the only way to let corporate know the employees make it so you hate to go in there because it’s always some mess. On the way out the guy from register 1 says all that ain’t necessary because me and the guy was having words. I replied I just wanted to pay for my stuff and leave, talk to him if you the so called manager. I never had a problem with this guy before although I can tell he don’t like me, that doesn’t bother me. Please have a talk with your workers about...
Read moreThey close the store an hour early at 9 instead of 10. I’m guessing due to the high crime area, it’s a safety precaution but I’m not sure if corporate is aware or paying them for the additional hour bc the door signs and google profile state 10. The items ALWAYS ring up more than they are marked, promotions and digital coupons often aren’t applied properly, many of the employees are ratchet and have nasty attitudes, including their “shift managers”. They seem to act as if they have some high level corporate position and don’t get paid a few more dollars per hour to do 10x the work.. this store is a mess. It’s in the hood and demographic is 🤮 Avoid at all costs. The neighborhood is dangerous as well. Gentrification fail...
Terrible experience as a delivery driver I went to pick up a beer order at this Dollar General and, as required by law, I asked the customer for a valid ID. The customer became extremely aggressive, so for my own safety, I used the app’s option to return the order.
When I brought the product back to the store, the manager treated me with complete disrespect. He refused to accept the return, spoke to me with a hostile attitude, and showed zero willingness to handle the situation calmly or professionally.
This is unacceptable behavior. Delivery drivers are just following the legal protocols to ensure safe and lawful deliveries. Instead of cooperating, I was mistreated by the staff.
I do not recommend this store. The employees, especially management, need proper training on how to treat delivery drivers with respect and...
