Dropped my phone and broke my screen. Brought it in to be replaced and when I went to pick it up, the sim card wasn't reading so I brought it to metro and they replaced the some card but it still wasn't working and they told me to bring it back. UbreakIfix, said it was fine because they're diagnostic machine said it was all good twice, to bring it back to metro and have them reset it, so I did. Metro could not reset it it because it was not being read and to bring it back to ubreakifix and tell them the sim card reader needed replaced, so I did. They again insisted that nothing was wrong. I couldn't text or call out or recieve them. Finally they said, well, I guess we can replace it and see but I don't think that's going to work. They get the part and it doesn't work, but they order a second one in case the 1st one was defective. Said it would be ready on Wednesday. Wednesday I call for an update and they tell mee, oh it won't be ready until Friday. Okay, a little mad because it's going to take longer than originally said but Monday was memorial day so I give them a pass on that. Picked it up today, they tell me they not only replaced the sim card reader but 2 other parts were broken (they did not charge me for those). Funny how they insisted it was fine and could not understand why it wasn't working since their diagnostic machine said everything was fine and they told me they even took it apart and didn't see anything wrong with it but it ended up needed 3 parts replaces. Happy to have my phone back and working again after almost 2 weeks without it. Oh and the back of my phone wasn't even put back on right,...
Read moreI made an appointment for Saturday at 3pm. I arrived on time and was told they were backed up so likely wouldnât get it done that day. I asked if it would be done on Sunday if I left it with them and was told yes. Sunday I called around 1pm to ask on the status and was told it was in the process of being worked on and would be done shortly. I asked for them to call me when it was done with at least a 30 minute window before they closed to get there. By 4:15 (they close at 5) I still hadnât heard back so I called them. I was told it was done. I got in the car and began driving to get there. I got stuck at the train crossing for about 15 minutes. I called them to let them know I was on my way but because of the train would likely arrive at about 5:05pm and would they be able to wait for me. The manager said to get there as close to 5 because they are generally out the door by 5:03(he actually said 5:02). I arrived at the store at 5:04 and the doors were locked up. I understand that people want to get home but the fact that they never called me to let me know the iPad was done and then wouldnât stay the additional 2 minutes? I had to have my father go and pick it up the next day which was out of his way. For the money charged to change a cracked screen I would have hoped for better customer service. Just very disappointed with my whole interaction with them.
Edit: 11/19/2020 The store manager, David, reached out to me in regards to my original post. We were able to come to a great solution. My iPad...

Asurion recommend UBreakIFix for a insurance replacement of a cracked screen. Dropped phone off at 1045 am. Ticket said I could pick up at 1245pm. I waited until 3pm to show up. Was told system was down a "test" of the new screen. Need to probably leave phone over night! I need my phone, what are some options? I asked. Another gentleman comes in store, and was told another location is operating. They are able to fix today. So I suggested, i would just take the drive to that store to have them activate. Employee says, let me see what I can do. 30 mins never returns. Another employee comes out and hands me my phone. They proceeded to take the new screen that was already installed on a phone they had for 4 hours. And reinstall my broken screen. Now broken far worse than when I dropped off, making the phone completely inoperable. "All while listening to the TV on the wall that repeats the same 1 minute commercial over and over, for the 45 mins I was sitting in the lobby waiting for answers. That says, "They keep you posted on all steps along the way!" Now Asurion is having to overnight me a whole new phone. If you are ever in need of a cracked screen. Avoid the Bradenton UBreakIFix as a option. The mobile option from Asurion is a far better option if you are...
