Lovely little nature center where we have been so many times I cannot count and will be back. The staff at the desk will answer questions, but it’s a self-guided experience. Kids can touch almost everything …with the exception of caged and preserved animals. There are a few live animals (snake, turtle and frog). Sometimes they have a chrysalis or butterfly. The viewing window to bird-watch is good area with rocking chairs, plus the squirrels and chipmunks make an appearance. It’s right on the Wildflower trail which is good for wheelchairs/strollers or little legs for an easy hike. Or if you want a challenging hike, go the opposite direction, past the bird feeders (I forget the other name), go down at least 25 steps to the creek, cross a small bridge and back up the hillside with steps. It also does loop back around. I appreciate trails that loop around vs having to back track the way you...

The nature center is great, with several spots geared toward the younger nature lovers. There's a lot to see & learn here. The staff is knowledgeable & very friendly. The trails surrounding the nature center are awesome for anyone who enjoys a walk outdoors. There are hiking trails as well as multi purpose trails. Parking is located in several spots along the main road. There's a nice playground behind the pavilion that's very cool to look at. Located near the nature center is a program building as well as a newer restroom building with several family bathrooms. They're...

The rangers are so friendly and helpful. They'll answer all your questions about the park and even more! The center is quite small but full of information and exhibitions. I also love the architecture of the place. Bathrooms are clean and there is free WiFi available. The Nature center can serve as a starting point for many trails: long or short and for all levels. I would recommend the loop trail that starts and finishes at the Nature center. Hopefully, you'll see a doe with her fawns on your hiking adventure! (July is the perfect...
