Bremerton Community Theater — Attraction in Bremerton

I am not a regular theater patron....of any kind. I am not an expert in the field. I should get that out of the way.

That said, I just have such a warm and cozy spot in my heart for these community theater productions. Before I attended one of the productions in Kitsap County, having now attended several at multiple local venues, I had this grand idea in my head about the theater experience you see on television. The audience all in dress. The giant, flowing red curtain. The Broadway experience. This is not that and in most of the ways I can think of, I am glad. These productions are comfortable and almost neighborly.

I highly recommend grabbing a seat at BCT to watch a mystery unfold. They may not serve movie theater popcorn but they do serve up a passion for the art and a laid back, local...

Saw The Odd Couple last night for their opening night and it was very good. BCT staff and crew consistently build the best sets of any smaller community theater and this show met the standard. Every item was period correct and the construction quality was excellent. The leads were well cast and professional in their craft. This was a traditional interpretation of the original script and was funny and engaging. I personally feel the show is dated and could use a current iteration but enjoyed the performance. I have performed here and viewed in the audience, both were very pleasant. There is tons of seats, a large sized stage, and upper viewing areas. Backstage is organized and cleanly, as well as in the theater and lobby. The view from any seat is pretty good, kids that are a bit shorter may be slightly blocked but still are able to see. There is no food or drink in the theater, so do not bring any refreshments. Also, no flash photography is allowed, so be aware. Only thing that I didn’t like, is that it is FREEZING. Bring a sweatshirt or jacket when going here. 4/5 experience every time...
