Tried this store for our new sectional as we thought they would have better quality than Ashley (which after spending $10,000 on home furnishings in the past we have found to have horrendous poor quality furniture which never seems to match the showroom quality). I will NEVER purchase or recommend Furniture World. Took minutes to buy and months to deliver. Upon arrival the couch material was much cheaper quality than what we experienced on the showroom model. The long side of the sectional was already broken upon delivery. Replacement took weeks to receive. We complained several times after replacement was received as even small children sitting on the long side of the new sectional came with wood sounds and creaking which we didn't experience with any other sectionals in the past. Our contact attempts were ignored for weeks and then months. We were finally told they would send someone to assess, but we were within months of our warranty ending. After being ignored for another month or so we finally received a call for the person to come out after our warranty had ended due to them dragging their feet so long. Upon arrival the repair person advised us this isn't an uncommon problem for ASHLEY brand furniture as they build cheaply and use staples instead of nails and screws!!! When we were purchasing we made it clear to the floor associate how much we detest Ashley furniture for this very reason and we were assured they didn't carry any such products. None of the paperwork we received or anything showed Ashley brand. The repair person said we were out of warranty but he would bill the store as we had so many issues. He repaired it and now that our warrany is over an entire section of wood has fallen out under the couch and they will not repair. I have had better quality furniture from Fred Meyer and Big Lots for a fraction of the price that lasted well beyond 5 years and this hunk of trash we spent over a thousand dollars on has not been usable since...
Read moreWe went to go buy a bed frame . I have a full size mattress and they told us they had a queen only in the back. They told us there isn't much of a difference between a queen and full. We got the queen, built it up to find a huge difference. I let that slide since it was an honest mistake but I would've assumed they knew something about bed measurements since they sell them. We ordered the full size, they never call to tell us they have them we always have to call first. When they brought the boxes , one of them was busted open. Apparently they had dropped it which destroyed one of the bed boards and the hook was bent. I was more surprised that they were OKAY with giving us the busted boards. We set up everything and the bed was fine until a couple days later when the boards kept slidin out of place and makin our bed collapse. I thought I could work with it, I screwed the boards in place (I tried atleast, the measurements for it were completely off) and they STILL managed to pop out of place. The extra support legs for the boards popped off too. After only THREE MONTHS of having this bed it went lop sided. The metal hook popped out of place on both ends. The boards underneath completely gave up ( at this point I was stacking books and weights underneath to keep it leveled) one of the hooks came out of the wood, we're currently wood glueing and trying to reforge what we have. The whole frame is nice quality, but the boards to support everything is made of terribly cheap material. Recently bought a bedroom set from here and it didn’t take long to regret it. First, when we ordered the set we also ordered another dresser that was marked down. During that process they told us it would be 4-6 weeks before they received it (never mentioned it was a special order). They were going to charge us two delivery fees to deliver the bedroom set then the dresser when it arrived. We told them we weren’t going to pay twice for delivery and to just have them delivered together. A few days later we called back to cancel the dresser and get the set delivered. They tried to tell us it would be a restocking fee because it was a special order (to our surprise). After arguing with them about this, they supposedly spoke with the owner and he came to his senses and refunded us for the dresser. Well, it doesn’t stop there. Just a few days after delivery and set up, my son sat on his bed and it fell through to the floor. After trying to set it back up, we realized the legs under the slats were too long. Also, they only support 3 of the slats in the middle. It appears there are parts missing and it wasn’t set up correctly.
