Arcade Mall — Attraction in Bridgeport

I so wish I could give this charming mall a five star, but I cannot. It has so much great potential!!!! Why is it not being heavily advertised and promoted regularly with regular events to draw people????The city should help with this!!!!! It seems to be a great location for craftspeople and artisans so why is this not happenning????Being a craftsperson myself,, I've been there every so often on different days to see if it's any busier, or has changed, but it doesn't seem to be ever. Everything is usually closed and hours by appointment. Very depressing and disappointing!!!!That needs to change!!!! The few stores that were open seem to be having some business but Iam told they heavily promote themselves to get it. I think if they could get something to draw the people in it might be a good spot. Maybe they need music or entertainment or something. What a beautifully designed mall with cute small square feet year round stores!!! If you have a website that's already bringing you business and great social media, can afford to heavily advertise yourself, and can get customers to you, lots of experience, and an already built up customer base, you might be able to swing it. Rents are cheap because it's all about location, location, location and traffic!!!! The landlord should turn it into an artisan location only on the bottom floor with an icecream shop, a candy shop, restaurant is already there, art supply already there, and thrift shop already there, also a danceware supply store, and no one should be able to hog more than one space with the same thing!!!! The unique shops would be the main attraction. I will keep watching this place to see if it evolves into...

If you are thinking about leasing here, DONT. You’ll be locked into 3 years of bs. The property manager is very unprofessional, as well as the maintenance men. The lady sitting in the office all the time is absolutely useless as she knows the answers to ANYTHING YOU ASK HER. What is she there for????? Any time I have a question she has to pick up her phone & text the next person for the answer. Odd & again, unprofessional. There is absolutely no AC, the AC for tenants units do not work properly & we have to pay a UI bill for it, my UI runs me about $300 a month & that’s not including rent. I was also told the AC in the lobby has to be off because if it’s on it will affect the tenants AC units in their suites????? Never heard of something like that. Sounds like something needs to be fixed, so fix it, because your tenets are paying a UI BILL FOR IT, absolutely ridiculous. The glass ceiling in the atrium leaks when it rains, I can’t even imagine how many more winters that glass ceiling will last. There is mold growing on the ceiling in the women’s bathroom upstairs, I told them about it when I first got there (almost 4 years ago) & the issue is still very persistent. All they did was change the white tile on the ceiling, the next time it rained the issue occurred again. OH & be aware that you will see MICE in the winter. Last winter I saw a dead mouse TWICE on two separate occasions as I’m coming into work, in the atrium area. Disgusting. What am I...
