Breaking skin tattoo and body piercing — Attraction in Bridgeport

I got a tattoo done at this shop more than a year ago and I have been timid about posting an accurate and honest review because the owner cannot handle constructive criticism. So, I had to go twice; once to get my tattoo done, and once again to have it fixed because I had a botched tattoo. I was getting work done by an apprentice, to my knowledge no longer worked at the shop when I went back. I was never alerted that the person doing my tattoo was learning. The receptionist/piercer who worked here at the time audibly gasped when I rolled up my sleeve when I returned to have the botched work fixed. As an artist myself (not a tattoo artist, but a painter) I was very upset by the botched first tattoo. This was also my first tattoo, and to have people talking about how poorly done my first tattoo looked upset me greatly. Corey redid my tattoo, and I would get more work by him if he worked at another shop. I'm thankful for the standard Corey holds himself to, and for fixing the tattoo with no charge. The owner was not present when I returned to have the tattoo fixed. The lack of professionalism the owner holds himself to is what has driven me away from getting more work done at this shop. If you don't believe me, read his responses to negative reviews (this is also why I have hesitated to post a review). I would rather him tell me something nasty via the internet than to have others deal with the shame of having a botched tattoo. The artists that work here are wonderful and talented, and deserve a higher level of professionalism from their shop's owner. And, just for the owner's awareness, I don't plan on coming back, ever.

Update: I have met the owner, he was present when I got the inital tattoo done. To quote, "That's a bad ass tattoo. A good first tattoo." Also nice to see he deleted his nasty comments on other one...

I could not be happier with my tooth gem by Shelby!! She was kind when doing it, and it makes me feel so good about my smile. I got my gem put on on December 9th, 2020, and 1.5 years later it is still in tact and in perfect condition. I don’t avoid any foods, I use teeth whitening strips, and pretty much forget it’s there. Not only has it lasted way longer than I ever would’ve expected, but I went through 9 months of Invisalign trays. This means every time I ate, plastic “retainer like” trays slid off of my teeth, and as soon as I was done eating I had to brush them and slide these tight fitting trays back onto my teeth. I was almost certain that doing this everyday, multiple times a day would catch the gem and pop it off, but it never did! Not only that, but most of my teeth had “attachments” glued on that served as anchors for the Invisalign trays to grip and pull/shift the teeth. Since I had the gem on one tooth, they couldn’t apply an attachment, so the gem served as the attachment. Meaning not only did it not pop off, but the trays were applying pressure and pulling on the gem in order to move my entire tooth!! I could not be happier and could not recommend Shelby and her tooth gems more! Thanks for adding some sparkle...

uhh. where do i begin. firstly, i setup an appointment to get work done on my tat. the owner set me up with chris, which is fine, but the owner never showed up. i walked to the store around noon and saw a man in a moth costume hanging upside from the room and then started to feel my eyes rolling to the back of my head. i put my sunglasses on and realized it was their light. they have 10 halogen 4000W beams they use to signal helicopters aimed eyelevel. so anyway, i went in and the owner tried to sell me a $60 piercing because they have to pay the employees, the rent, sanitizing materials, and for those bright fking lights but i was like.. maybe i should leave 1 star? idk. i can stab myself in the ear with scissors and save myself the money. chris and the owner never showed up and they cancelled my appointment 2 hours after i got there late which was unprofessional. i wont do business with them. their policies and pricing is too transparent and their tattoos while they may look good, i can tell you now, without ever getting one, that i may not like it due to a situation completely unrelated to their...
