Route 40 Auto — Local services in Bridgeport

I had been told by a local dealership that my vehicle needed $8,000 in repairs for a hole in my catalytic converter and damage to the surrounding components. Needless to say, we just decided to drive it untiI it became undrivable accepting the fate as a repair that costly seemed like totalling a 2017 Cadillac. Well, I drive by this business daily on my way to work and gave them a call yesterday. They instructed me that I could leave my keys and vehicle without an appointment, since I could leave it all day while I worked the very next morning. They opened at 8:00 AM and at 9:12 AM I had a phone call, as promised before completing work, asking if I wanted the good news or the good news! They were able to fix my car for less than $400!!! Unbelievable! We had this issue looked at over the years by three different garages and they were able to diagnose it within an hour of the start of their business day. I was a long-time customer when this shop was still Meineke and I'm happy to say that the new owner that has taken over now is running a very fair and reputable business as well. I showed up on a budget to get my exhaust repaired because my car was getting louder and louder by the day and was pleased to find the guys there very respectful and willing to work with me to get the job done within my budget. It's nice to know there's a shop where a single female can go in and not be worried about being taken advantage of. Great place with outstanding new ownership. We had some car issues and were recommended to use Mike and his staff who apparently just recently purchased the store.
