I go to this Costco all the time. The rest of the store is great, but this has to be one of the worst pharmacy we have ever used. We used this pharmacy for approximately 6 months.
Our prescriptions were never ready. We would call in a day or two ahead of time, make make the pharmacy our first stop when we got to the store, do our shopping then come back and still end up waiting at least a half hour every time. My wife was pregnant while we were using this pharmacy and they would make her stand there and wait for her prescriptions.
If there were any problems with the prescriptions and the insurance they would wait until after we had already called in, checked in when we got to the store, gone back waited a half hour to tell us.
Now we use the new CVS on 28. Our prescriptions are called in from the doctors office and we swing thru the drive thru on the way home. Everything is always ready, on time, and the one time there was a problem, they immediately called us...
Read moreThis is my experience on 9/1/2017 visit. Dropped off my scripts on 8/31 at 9:30 AM, promised next day at 3:00 PM. Arrived on 3:30 (around 30 hours after dropping off my scripts), they were still not filled. stayed for extra one and half hour. Left at 5 PM. While counting the pills, the pharmacy technician dropped three pills, two on the table and one on the floor. Simply, he took all three and put them in my box. I notified the pharmacist, he promised to counsel with the technician, but still gave me my pill box without discarding the mentioned pills. After leaving, i noticed that they forgot to fill one of my prescriptions, instead of notifying me that they ran out of this medication and i should come and take it later, they left me to come back and inquire about the missing script to notify me. If i can give less than one, i would...
Read moreInconsistent at best. Costco there’s so many things right it’s a shame have to put down the pharmacy. I decided to try the pharmacy when I got a prescription for my pet. They advertise they can do that so let’s see how it works. The first time I filled it, the pharmacist told me to go on GoodRx and find a coupon to save money. Amazing I thought. They really do try to help you keep costs low. The only challenge was it took two days to get the prescription filled. This was for common eye drop used by humans, same strength for glaucoma.
When a new doctor refilled the prescription the pharmacist couldn’t be bothered and charged me full price. She said the coupon didn’t apply. It’s funny how the same prescription in the same system for the same person/animal and have two wildly different prices. The first one was 20 bucks the second one...
