I happened to have a last minute lunch at Lake Time Brewing last week when I went to photograph the muralist Chris Stackowicz. I was planning on a quick shoot and wasn't sure if I was going to grab a bite there or on the road to Chicago after I was done with the shoot. I'm new to the area and since Lake Time just opened their doors in 2024, I hadn't tried it. I was pleasantly surprised there were a lot of things on their menu that interested me, but I love me a good reuben sandwich and they got me with a - correct me if I'm wrong - but a whiskey braised reuben that was on special. Maybe it was the beer braised which is on the regular menu, but whichever it was, I'll be back when I have a hankering for a reuben! It was delicious. They didn't have fries, but I loved the chips and the sandwich was on a great marble rye. It was such fun to witness Lake Time's new Weko Beach and Lake House mural being painted by the artist, Chris Stackwicz. Chances are, you've seen Chris' work all over SW Michigan and I wanted to start documenting some of his work through photography. Other diners had fun talking to Chris and photographing the logo wall Chris painted previously. I would recommend checking out the new mural which now spans two walls and check out Lake Time's menu as well. Next time, I'm having one of their craft beers! If I didn't have a drive to Chicago ahead of me, it would have been a great accompaniment. Hey, plus the people at Lake Time were terrific too and I'm already crazy for their sister restaurant next door!

⸻ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently passed through Richmond, Michigan in our motorhome, and what a pleasant surprise this small town turned out to be. Richmond has that charming small-town feel where everything feels welcoming and relaxed. The streets are clean, the shops and restaurants have a friendly vibe, and the people we met were kind and helpful. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and appreciate the little things—quiet neighborhoods, local spots to grab a bite, and a calm atmosphere that feels safe and peaceful. Perfect for travelers like us who enjoy discovering hidden gems along the way. If you’re passing through with your RV or just taking a drive, Richmond is definitely worth the stop. A beautiful little town that leaves you with a smile.

This new brewery has a relaxed atmosphere and a medium length list of house beers. I tried two of their brews, and the Robust Porter was my favorite. It was nice and roasty while being smooth and dry. The staff was friendly, and there seemed to be a fairly friendly crowd of customers making themselves at home. There are multiple options for seating, and I found the sofas near the door quite comfortable. I look forward to seeing how this brewery does, and hope the best for them.

Goodness! How can I possibly capture in a written review how freaking excellent Lake Time Brewing and Sprits is? They are the kindest, most considerate venues I’ve ever been able to work with.

We got married at Weko Beach in August 2025 and wanted to have a party the night before our Love Celebration. As we were planning the event, I struck up a conversation with the owner, Mike, while having a beer at the bar in Lake Time. His warmth was infectious. He showed us the new, beautiful venue space they were building out in the back of the brewery, and said he’d be happy to host our party of 100 people!

Summary of what’s below The kindest, most considerate owner and staff of folks you could hope to work with when putting on a party Beautiful private backroom with a 4 tap bar, speakers, projector, and garage door that opens to a nice patio and the town’s social district walkway Excellent drinks from light beer, IPAs, cider, slushies (with NA options), and booze Perfect variety of food and snack options to feed your guests If you are looking for a great space with reasonable prices and a great group of people to work with and support, you should 100% have you event at Lake Time Brewing in Bridgman. Or even just stop in for a beer and some food next time you are in town.

Mike and his staff were nothing but a delight to work with. We had a number of planning phone calls together and with their cook, Will. They went above and beyond to accommodate us within our budget and vision for the night. They made the menu work for a variety of dietary needs and their lead brewer, Pete, even made a special, delicious peach cider, made with local peaches, for the event because we had told him that we loved peaches.

The night of the big party was simply incredible. Mike and his staff were ready for our every need. They got our playlist going, a projector for a slide show of pictures, and even an AV system for some speeches we had planned. The newly installed garage door in the back of the room was so perfect. We got to keep it closed when the sun was still up to enjoy the AC on a hot summer evening, but then as it cooled off outside, we opened the door which let our party spill out into the nice little patio and “social district” alley. Giving us plenty of room for our 100+ guests.

The beer is excellent, from the simple Joe and Dave lager that worked for our light beer loving friends, to tasty IPAs, sours, and real good dark beers. They even had a vodka lemonade slushy and an NA slushy for the kids and NA adults. They have a small 4 tap bar in the back, so our guests could easily get the 4 beers/ciders that we requested to have in the back, but then they could walk around to the main bar area if they wanted a bigger selection of beers or booze. It kept the lines short and drinks flowing all night long.

The price for the space was incredible. They let us run a small tab to get our guests first beers and then let us do a cash bar after that. They were very flexible with us on the end time for our event too.

And then, and then …. We needed a place to come for the afterparty the next night as we had to leave our wedding reception venue at Weko Beach at 10pm. So Mike and crew welcomed us back the next night and let us round out the big day with some night cap beers in the private back space. They set us up with sliders and veggie options in the back and a cash bar. Just nothing but incredible vibes and a desire to work with us to make our special weekend easy, stress free, and fun.

Thank you Mike, Will, Pete, Alec, Leanne, and everyone at Lake Time for being so top notch. Like we said, we see y’all as friends now so you most definitely will be seeing us whenever we are up in Bridgman. Likely even this weekend:)

Much...
