We stood up front for quite awhile with girls at or passing behind the counter with no eye contact or a hello from anyone. Finally a server who ended up being our server greeted us and told us we should seat ourselves, as if we should have known. There was no sign and we were from out of town. We found a table amongst the taken, dirty and in direct sunlight ones. (Why no blinds? full sunlight at dinner time.) No cozy atmosphere here. Very old school fast food feel. No music so you could hear conversations pretty clearly around you. Our server took a very long time to bring us menus and drinks. The table next to us was complaining about how long it took for their pizza. A table behind us was completely annoyed and she tried to get anyone's attention and no one would pay it. She ended up getting up and going to the counter to get a box for her food herself. She was not happy. Three servers and nine tables should be a cake walk at a pizza joint. None of us got great or even good service. A table came in while we were eating and servers walk back and forth never greeted them and they ended up getting up and walking out. Which is what we came close to doing ourselves. Our side salads were very small but tasty. The pizza, less than average. Crust overall was good. One side was much thicker than the other. Sauce lacked any flavor. Spinach was canned. Italian Sausage was cut up small chunks of a link sausage. I have never seen anything like it. That was flavorless as well. There wasn't a table in that dining room that didn't sit around and wait way too long for something. Servers on cell phones could have been some of the issue as well. When we come back this will not be a first choice. Overall,...
Read moreThis review is based solely on the service. The food was fantastic. Unfortunately, the negative experience began with the preorder phone call before stepping into the restaurant. The waitress argued with is about asking for our pizza to be cut into squares even though we come to this establishment every year. Apparently this conversation was so trying that she felt the need to complain about it after we had been seated. To be able to enjoy the meal that we had ordered we had to offer to cut the pizza ourselves. Graciously she complied. But instead of simply honoring our simple request the waitress felt the need to reiterate that the cook was not happy and that they would refuse to do it next time. On top of this, we had to grab our own plates and the table next to us went behind the counter to fill their own drinks. Instead of focusing on the patrons her attention was focused on cleaning up to leave right away. I understand it is Sunday, I understand that you want to go home, but do you not understand that you are getting paid for...
Read moreMy family ordered from Roma’s last week, as we have at least once a week for years, lots of times more. On this occasion our toppings weren’t right, and the crust was burnt. We called, Pricilla told us to bring it back. We reminded her it would take us almost an hour to bring it back, get a new pizza, and get back home. If I wanted to wait another hour for dinner I would have ordered then. She said she’d credit me the topping on our next visit. This is UNACCEPTABLE customer service. We’ve only complained like 1 time in 10 years. It’s not like it’s a habit. She should have replaced the entire order next time. Since our business is unappreciated we will be going to Villa Nova from now on, they are closer, and just as tasty, they are just newer and we were in the habit of going where we always had in the past. I will also be sure to pass the word that you are no longer concerned with retaining longtime customers, and encourage everyone else to go...
