The Flooring Store — Attraction in Brighton Charter Township

We visited the Furniture Store and hired Dan to do a very large flooring project us for us. The quality of the carpet and hardwoods is great but the customer service has went down hill since the beginning. I will start with saying this is a family run business so it’s hard to get straight answers from anyone as to what’s going on and you can’t really complain to anyone because what are they are going to do?? Carpet install was quick and efficient! The stairs were laid wrong but it is resolved. Hardwood install took 2 weeks and then the floors sat for a month unfinished because the guy who normally finishes them wouldn’t call us to schedule (by the way he is awful and I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone, his name is Charlie). This is where things took a dive. Phone calls weren’t returned and we were given the run around. Finally a different company was brought out to stain the floors. When we purchased we were told they could match our existing color, this was a lie. I was also told Charlie could stain them in may, Charlie wasn’t available till July. I have 2 different colored floors in my house but at least they are finished so I will let that slide. Next all of the trim had to be put back on and then the furniture moved and lastly a toilet put back. I’ve been 2 weeks waiting to have the toilet put down, 2 freaking weeks. Multiple phone calls to no available. The furniture was put back and I asked about the toilet and was told they would let Dan know. We didn’t hear from Dan until my husband reached out and they were suppose to come today at 12, 3 hours later and guess who still doesn’t have a toilet...it’s me. So we are 7 weeks in and the job isn’t finished but I guess the jokes on me because I paid them in full to be nice and as a gesture of goodwill and nothing. In summary, the product quality is great, the customer service is sad. If you have a couple months to waste getting work down then use them but if you value your time I would...

Had an amazing experience here. Although this place was a bit far away for me I found it to be well worth my time. Stopped by after a personal recommendation and was pleasantly impressed by the courteous, friendly and professional service and quality. They have a very beautiful curated selection at their store. I ended up ordering from a catalog without even seeing the product first, but rather choosing from swatches for fabric. We were shopping for a couch and this was a very hard task until we stopped at The Furniture Store. It’s a family owned business and everyone we interacted with was very invested in the best outcome of our experience. Once we ordered the couch, they delivered promptly for a small delivery fee and we got a matching ottoman too. We are so happy because it ended up being the most comfortable couch we could have hoped for. Also the fabric is made of fantastic quality, especially because we have kids and a dog. Overall extremely happy with the purchase and the high level of communication and friendliness we received at this store....

I LOVE The Furniture Store, and tell everyone I know that this is the place to go. We have purchased both carpeting (for our basement) and two different mattresses from them, and have always had an incredibly positive experience. Our first visit was to get carpeting, and we found the prices to be extremely reasonable. The person helping us in the showroom was extremely attentive, helpful (and patient). The owner, Dan, came out personally to measure for our tricky basement set-up, and he really worked with us to make sure that we laid everything out in the best, most appealing, and most efficient way. Installation was a dream (even the stairs look incredible!), and I have loved that carpeting every day we've had it (it's been a few years now).

The mattresses were also great purchases. They have Michigan-made products, have a reliable delivery process, and we always get a good deal.

I'll go back to this store over and over again for furniture, mattresses, or flooring. You just don't get great service like this from most...
