Spad’s Scoops — Attraction in Bristol

I debated whether or not to write this review because it's a new business and I want to support businesses in Bristol but WOW...STICKER SHOCK! We had 2 pint sundae's each with 2 toppings and a large sundae with 3 toppings... $33!! That's too expensive for us in this economy. We had the exact same thing 2 weeks ago at another establishment in the area and it was $16. It would be helpful to have a large menu posted on the wall. Since they just opened maybe that's in the works. Right now it's a piece of paper at the register. We would have ordered differently had we known the price.

The ice cream was good but for that price it should be packed into the cup. The large sundae only had 2 scoops. My sundae had too much open space and sparce toppings. I had to ask for it to be fixed and it was. They need to press down each scoop of ice cream so the cup gets completely filled. The staff is very young and probably still training.  I'm glad Bristol has an ice cream place but unfortunately we won't be...

Recently purchased a specialty ice cream cake for my husband's birthday.

Will have to say Mindy truly went above and beyond, from start to finish.

I requested a cake that she's never made before, so I could sense she was a little leary! His birthday was also on a Monday, the store is closed, but Minday scheduled time on her day off, for me to pick the cake up!

The cake was vanilla and fruity pebbles, she definitely hit the ball out of the park with it! An absolute 10 out of 10!

The ice cream was pretty good (Caribbean milkshake and peanut butter sundae) but the wait time was like half an hour. It probably wouldn’t have been too bad except the air conditioning didn’t seem to be on so it was really warm. There was two people working and the system just seemed really illogical. Like the staff kept having to run from one end of the counter to the other for ingredients and it just doesn’t seem set up right. If they can figure out how to streamline the food service to shorten the wait time this place would...
