I've loved this place for years, but the last time I went there with my father, we went looking to find me some new water shoes for boat fishing. Now, I'm a small woman and have been the same height (4'10") and shoe size since I was 13 (I am now 42). I am a girls size 3, boys size 4 and sometimes I can make due with a women's size 5 but only in athletic shoes that can be laced and tied and they're always a bit long in the toe. We were approached by a sales woman while we looked at the only deck shoes we saw that were signed and displayed "On Sale" for something like $45.99. She asked if she could help, and we asked if there were any other sizes in the stock room (of a certain style that was exactly what I needed) or in the store and what size I needed. She said she would look and walked into a door just a few feet away. After about 3mins she reappeared with 3 boxes and said the smallest she had in what I wanted was a size 5.5 and 6 in the shoes that I liked and a had found a 6 in another style that was also on sale but not what I was looking for but figured she would bring them too in case... So I tried on the size 5.5 and even though they were a bit big, I'd make them work if that's what was available... She then tells us that the size 5.5 we're actually $64.99 and that the $45.99 sale price posted on the display only included sizes 6 and up... My father and I both were surprised by the price difference and even more the reason as to why. So I asked if there were ANY other shoes like THAT in THAT style ANYWHERE in the store (like children's shoes) and she said no, this was all she had (and did I mention that this $64.99 pair of deck shoes were blue cammo design?) and that kids shoes had nothing like them either... So we thanked her and took the shoes and walked away. As we walked, I looked over and noticed we were passing the kids shoes department. As we passed it I looked back and there, on the back of a 2 sided display rack of kids water shoes on hanging tabs (instead of boxed) I saw the exact same style of shoes I was holding! I ran over to the rack and found a girls size 3 in black and pink that fit perfectly... And they were only $24.99!!! We took the other shoes back to the sales woman and showed her what we had found and how much they were and where we had found them. She says to us, "Oh, yah we have those but they're not the same brand as these." And walked away. I would have been livid at the point had I not been so happy to have exactly what I had wanted for half the cost. I really feel as though this sales woman was intentionally trying to sell me a pair of shoes that were too big just because they were store specific and more expensive and deliberately failed to tell us about the ones we found even though I had asked specifically about the kids department... I will definitely think twice before going to bass pro for shoes again and as of right now, I am disappointed in the company as a whole if this is what they are teaching their sales staff. Integrity and character means a lot to myself and my family and a lack of these tend to make us find other places to spend our money... Even if it costs more... For...
Read moreThis place has definitely gone down hill a bit. The prices are not so great and employees have been unpleasant to work with. They have a pretty good selection and some of the employees are helpful but many are rude and would rather you not ask them for help. Read on for ranting details.
Around May of 2020 I completed an online order for in store pickup. It was around 30 baits/tackle items for next day pickup. I received an email stating my order was ready. A little while later I received an email stating that five of the items could not be fulfilled. When I arrived, I was able to find two of the five items on the shelves. I interacted with a few employees while looking for the five items and one was helpful while the other two were passive and a bit rude.
August of 2020 I went to the store to purchase a watch which the website said they had two of in stock. It was a GPS watch. The first couple people that I asked on the first floor where to find GPS watches didn't know that they carried them and had no idea where they would be. Once upstairs I interacted with a gentleman that obviously didn't want me to ask him anything. About thirty minutes later he was joined by a manager and another employee to help look for the watch, which they had no idea where it would be stored if not in the display case. I was told that the guy who would probably know where it was would be in the next day and I would receive a call after that guy looked. I left my name and number. Next day, no call. I called and got a new guy who had the same info...website says there are two but they can't be found. He searched for it and called me back about an hour later saying they couldn't be found - honestly, I'm just happy someone finally handled the situation and called me back to notify me they didn't know where their stock was.
Previous 5 Star Review: Whats not to love? Good opinions on gear, great selection, pretty good prices, and very entertaining environment. Good one stop shop but not necessarily a...
Read moreI made a firearm purchase online on 12/2/2023. The rifle was supposed to arrive in the Broken Arrow store within 5-10 days. I chatted in on 12/11 and was told it was at the store and I should give it 24-48 hours for confirmation to come pick up the item. I waited 3 days and chatted in again on 12/14 and by noon I received a phone call explaining they "didn't check it in properly" and that it was ready. I then traveled 1.5 hours to Broken Arrow after I got off work at 5pm. I arrived and checked in to the queue at the gun counter around 7pm. I was 4th in line. I waited in store 1.5 hours and when my name was finally called it was 8:35 and they told me it was too late. I explained that I have a 3 hour round trip to pick up my item and that I waited 1.5 hours but they said sorry. They won't start the NICS check after 8:30. I asked for a manager and by the time he showed up it was 8:43. I was told to "check their store hours online next time." There were 5 employees working the gun counter at the time, but only two customers being assisted at a time. They saw me standing there for over an hour and didn't even tell me that 8:30 is cutoff. If it wasn't for the fact that I bought this firearm for my son for Christmas I would request a refund and would never do business with this company again. I have never been more disappointed or angry at a company in my life. I have spent a lot of money in this store alone and unfortunately this sort of thing has happened before. That's why I made the trip on a Thursday night just in case. I'm guessing that I'm expected to make another 3 hour round trip to pick up the item I already paid for. The biggest issue I have was that the employee and manager I was talking to made it more about having all the firearms locked up so they could get out of there around 9 rather than providing good customer service. This entire experience from start to finish...
