Horrible experience! My daughter was looking forward to participating in a craft here, she was turned away because she couldn't wear a mask. My daughter is 9, and suffers from asthma, especially with the warm/humid weather it can be difficult for her, especially with a mask on. How could an older teacher who has been vaccinated multiple times along with her mask feel nervous or apprehensive being around a young girl who is healthy and not sick! It is a shame that this place would treat my daughter with such prejudice and judgement and not accept her for how she is. Read moreI found the experience at Brookfield to be somewhat pedestrian. I'm not sure if the people who I studied under actually had any field experience. The website said that they were nationally renowned. But when I went to other craft centers like Penland School of Crafts or Silvermine Arts Center. They didn't know a thing about Brookfield Craft Center. Why would an institution claim notoriety when they clearly don't have any true reputation. Snake Oil is what I say.
